this concept of a device is genius and brilliant, about time we had innovation again.

David 040882, 01 Mar 2025It's unfortunate that these 'smaller' brands... morei wish Xiaomi, Oppo or Vivo either bought one of these companies or partnered with them for a phone. That'd be quite daring i think. Or even Huawei perhaps. The possibilities are endless!

jiyen235, 01 Mar 2025Why are these small phone brands so daring? I must say this... moreIt's unfortunate that these 'smaller' brands that come with this innovation don't have as many customers and as much market share in order to justify releasing something like this for the average consumer to buy. And so that's why, unfortunately, they mostly resort to concepts only.

Basically a Mate XT that unfolds vertically. This is an interesting idea worth going into mass production. There's the small rectangular screen which doesn't look out of place on the Motorola Razr 2022 outer screen at first, and then the first hinge that is reminiscence to the old days of compact smartphone with 16:9 aspect ratio, and at last the second hinge which makes it looks like a typical large screen smartphone of today.
Seeing how foldable flip phones manages to be more affordable over the years as opposed to squarish foldable phones, this could be a more viable solution for general consumers.

jiyen235, 01 Mar 2025Why are these small phone brands so daring? I must say this... moreThey can fill patent and make money if other decide to mass produce.
More money than selling the device themselves

As someone who's jerry rigged Quad Lock mounts onto my Z Flips for years, I can tell you, that render on a bicycle is reality-devoid. Bikes bounces hard on everything, so that three-layer flip will flippity-flop all over the place. And since there is really only three edges for the mount to hold on to the phone, the phone will also go flying off the handlebar every time the rider hits a heavy bump. The only good solution I've found is by simply using strong double adhesive tape to keep the phone in the case.

Very interesting especially Infinix made otherwise it could be a 3000 eur Samsung or 5000 eur Apple.
But froim a brand like Infinix the price could be 699 or something for this.

Well, that's a neat concept, although I doubt the outdoor/ruggedness would actually work.

Why are these small phone brands so daring? I must say this is quite exciting and it makes me happy to see these smaller (at least compared to Apple, Samsung or Google) trying so hard to do new and cool things. ++Respect cus of that.
Very VERY interesting concept and could possibly make GoPros irrelevant if they make this a real thing. A phone you can just slap on your helmet/bike? ZAMN.

Amazing and probably a more useful form factor. The action cam comparison is a neat direction.

Well, this is certainly unexpected for a small company like Infinix, I wonder how's the price and chipset used? I don't think Infinix can get away with 1000 USD pricing especially for a small company with a shaky track record of software updates.
