Somehow I find it annoying for some people holding a high specs gadget and let the gadget do it all for them. There was a time when people hold primitive tools but still able to accomplish things gracefully, but right now gadgets are the most advance and some people are becoming less intelligent. As Einstein predict "someday technology will make people dumb ".

AnonD-161447, 30 Aug 2013No,compare in a pitch black room, xenon is a lot brighter,... moreYou're right, LED can illuminate for longer time compared to Xenon. The usual range of Xenon in phone is 3.5m which is still better than a LED flash which just lights up, but the intensity of the light vanishes on reaching a distance, especially if the LED is angular and not a spot. In phones, Xenon is at least 6x brighter than a single or a dual LED flash. In a totally darkened room, take a picture of a particular subject with a dual LED or a single LED flash from at least 60 cm away, the picture will be too much noisy and grainy and even not much visible. Take the same picture with a Xenon flash from the same range, at least some parts of the image will be visible and not with much noise or grain. That's the added benefit of Xenon flash.

HI again 1 more think Picture taken from Xenon is always Better because it is actual Flash Lite not just a light because LED flash lite are just a Bulb which just popup a light in Flash mode compare a Pic any time which is taken with LED nd Xenon flash

Xenon flashes are superior than LED flashes and a dual led flashes vs a single Xenon flash, the winner would be the Xenon flash.

1/2.3" for 20 mp is not that small or 1/1.8" for 41 mp is either not big enough.it's all about better outcome.for a xmor r cmos sensor a decent led flash is enough.let's see how bionz processor works.

You know what? Xenon flashes are way more powerful than led flashes. Even if there will be three led flashes altogether can't beat a Xenon flash. Yeah, the sensor is advanced but it's just 1/2.3" which is really smaller than the sensor size on Nokia 808 PureView and Nokia Lumia 1020. Please, don't expect Sony Xperia Z1 to beat the Nokia Lumia 1020 or even the Nokia 808 in terms of photography.
