Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 now rumored to have a significantly bigger cover display

05 March 2025
It's a much more 2025-appropriate look.

Anonymous, 07 Mar 2025So bloats up to 75mm wide. Yeuk. There's no way you can achieve 75mm wide unless you use wider screens like 19.5:9 or 18:9.

I Am GoD 9, 06 Mar 2025This foldable market only works in theory. Not practical. O... moreFor squarish foldable phones, possibly. I used to be in the bandwagon before leaving it for dual-display solution with my LG V50/V60's detachable Dual Screen case, and never even thought of going back to the former.

But for foldable flip phones, it makes a lot of sense from the compact body point of view. Sure, we have compact-sized bar smartphone, but some want it to be even more compact.

So having multiple punch holes is "a more modern look"? If that's the case, then I'll stick with the Z Flip5 and Z Flip6.

It is almost certain that it will be powered by 8 elite. Samsung chip division is in trouble. They seemed to have formed a team for next year's 2600 and are focusing on that. I read this in some article.

5 generations of Z Flip phones owned here, dropped them countless times, they just doesn't break.

Wish I could make a bending phone 4x200mp with all 1" sensors...

It's still a wonder, how they can't give it better cameras.
Going for design instead of performance is the biggest fault of bending tech, which is basically technical upgrade, not a beauty update...

They would better make it much thinner. Otherwise, Samsugng flip phones look like a regular slab phone, but just bended in half.

smasnug has gotten late since motorochad already implemented it from 2022

They should have done that since Z Flip 6. But eh, better late than never.

It's quite a lot wider than the flip 6. Are we getting a 21;9 aspect ratio this time?

The Flip form factor doesn't work. It's a good demo, but impractical.
I just met another friend with a Flip, that he literally kept it unfolded all the time. This is basically what I've seen people with a Flip, defeating the point of the form factor. Might as well get a regular slab phone.
