laptops have, and is priced very competitively

In my town you get your chromebook in 5th grade and use it until you graduate, the m4 is very futureproof where a chromebook would need upgraded multiple times over that timeframe.

Tell me, is video editing on the go (which many people I know use macbook airs for) even possible with 256gb? By this point I can tell you're an apple fanboy. You're not doing a great job hiding it when you ignore half my comment because you have no argument to deal with it.
Also it doesn't matter that it's more powerful than a Chromebook when it can't really do that much more.

You can't really use cloud services on the go, which becomes a problem when you only have 256gb and the main purpose of the device is to be used on the go. Also, a $999 netbook is a horrible product when Chromebooks do most of a netbook's roles for a much lower price. (except they lock you to a horrible browser, but that's a random tangent
