Where is the "no, I don't want a huge 6.7 brick smartphone" option?

I was planning to buy, but no MicroSD = no buy

      could challenge iPhone 16e,
      Just 2 Cameras,
      512Gb and 1Tb storage.

the entry level geeks also want future proof.

        Ew Samsung... won't buy.

A55 after 3-4 months was 350€, same will be with A56. For that amount of money I don't know what people expect. Even S24FE can be found for as low as 440€. Only people who has to much money or are without knowledge buys phone right after release.

The previous generation (A25 and A35) has better "attention" and "bang-for-the-buck" than the new release. Well, while supplies lasts.

Hek, the A25 still have both the micro SD card slot and 3.5 mm headphone jack, while the A35 have the micro SD card slot.

A36 is the more interesting of the three phones if you take into account the look, specs and price. A26 looks cheap and old, and A56 specs too similar with A36 not worth 100 euros more.

Waraduk, 09 Mar 2025No microSD slot anymore for midrange Samsung it's not ... morethose phones don't even have an SD card slot, if you do care

No microSD slot anymore for midrange Samsung it's not special better buy Nothing Phone 3 nor some Chinese phone or iPhone will be better than this

Except the A26 (better get A35 at this point if you don't care abt 2 less years of update), none of them are bad. But it's just nothing special. 6 OS updates is quite useful if you want to keep this phone for 6 years, but for me who change phone every 4 years, it's kinda useless.

Tbh I'm just curious with the Exynos 1580's performance. If we put Xiaomi 14T aside, it's literally the most powerful phone at this price point (at least in my country).

They should've gone for uniform bezels this time regard less of all the specifications

Claudespeed, 09 Mar 2025They're good phones, but i care about the soc the most... moreWell, they took out the sd card slot while having 6-7 years of updates lol. And what's the use of it for emulation when you can't cram all your games in one go?

Charging $500 for 128gb storage. diabolical

Without the A36 and A56 losing expandable storage like most of their competitors, it's easier than ever for me to choose the Nothing Phone 3a/3a Pro that also don't have microSD card support but have a more flexible camera setup than the upper-midrange Samsungs.

I have A55 which is a great phone and I am not planning an upgrade to A56 at all. A55 has the sd card which is a great feature for offline backup and is very similar in specs to the A56 (which is clearly better). I am not a gamer or a heavy user and even the charging speed is not that fast as on other chinese phones. I mean charging at 25 or 45 watts each 2 or 3 days of usage is not that important.

Which mid range of these 3 is right for me? Nothing, yes Nothing 3a.

At this point, all I care is the Exynos 1580 performance in the real world. Hopefully, the new ARMv9 CPUs will bring a huge boost from the previous Exynos 1480 with ARMv8 CPUs.

Claudespeed, 09 Mar 2025They're good phones, but i care about the soc the most... moreA55 fixed storage issue, probably A56 would have faster storage too.

Also A56 soc is really interesting, especially if you like Emulation and newer games.

From all 3, the A26 is the best bang for the buck. And Samsung knows it, as such they don’t release the A26 in many markets. Most people would be forced to spend more for the A36 instead if they want something better than the A16.
