Doesn't look like a horrible deal, at least for a normal person who doesn't wanna go for Chinese phones/only has access to the big brands only. But the fact that the main cam is smaller is concerning, just why? Maybe drop the price if you're gonna downgrade the phone. And it's not like it looks exceptional either, the 8a looked stunning compared to this.
All that's find but good Lord those bezels are thicker than Nikocado Avocado in his prime.

I'm profoundly unimpressed with the design. Doesn't look like a phone of it's price bracket. I have a realme gt 6 and I can't be more happier with a phone I got for $400.

I dont understand what makes it ugly. It looks like phones use to look before the camera islands start to pop out and none of the camera islands and pyramids look good on any phone or are even practical in any way. It's just more material added to the phone that makes the phone weight more. And it does not matter that it's just few grams.
If 9a would cost 350 euro then that would be the right price for it cause of what performance it gives us. At 450-550 euro there are way better options in hardware to get and just have like 2-3 OS updates less but at least you wont get scammed with cheap old technology. It's basically like you buy a Skoda with a BMW price

Why do all the OEM's charge 100 for any storage upgrade? It is not worth an extra 100 but rather 50 would be reasonable!

Somehow 9a has thicker bezels than iPhone 16e or Samsung Galaxy A55...
They are thinner than those on 8a if that's something you ever wanted......

HORRIBLE!!! This year is going from bad to worse in every way... When something new comes to the market that turns everyone upside down, like the iPhone did in 2007 and the Galaxy S2 at the time...

Looking forward to this. I can argue that a pixel's actual monetary value is the A series ($400-600) and the pros aren't worth it because you get the same upper midrange chip, same main camera results, same years of support, same bugs and arguably the same failure rate (more expensive pixel 8 has green screen issue while the 8a does not) XD, Sure, the pros have pro mode, smaller bezels and better finishing but you get 85% of the experience already.
