Well to be fair OneUI is about 2 Android version ahead of stock android (Pixel), so even if update is 6 months late, feature set is still 1.5 year ahead of Pixel. For Samsung users Android version is just a meaningless number buried somewhere in system settings. 80% of new features come from Samsung and OneUI, not Android version (which by the way then gets copied by Google and applied into stock android lol).

Samsung have held off on a general release for so long now its never going to meet people's expectations once it starts to roll out sometime in April..and the longer they hold off the higher the expectations will be and or phone enthusiasts will have just lost interest entirely which by the majority of comments they already have..
4 months of unnecessary waiting because samsung didn't bring enough to the table with the 25 line is just poor form. All the things I used to pay out on apple for samsung have become just as bad and even perhaps worse.. I know samsung are definitely not on the forefront when it comes to hardware but when they start using there software as a selling point and can't even get that right (on purpose) they're adding insult to injury and showing no loyalty to their consumers whatsoever.

DarlingYext, 22 hours agoI feel like Samsung could just tell people next year, or so... moreSamsung does not delay the updates because they are greedy and to can sell their last series of phones. Or because they promise things that are difficult to achieve. Or because they are incompetent.
            They just "polish". 🤣🤣🤣

YourLocalPhoneCritic, 19 hours agoiOS updates roll out to all iOS/iPadOS devices at the same ... moreNeeding to shave off old code isn’t why Samsung takes so long to release updates. There’s two reasons why they take so long: first, they make way too many phones and variants of each phone. Both Apple and Samsung need to optimize their OS for each device because that’s just how making an OS works, but Samsung takes a much longer time to do this because they make 20 different models a year (plus separate model variants for each carrier), while Apple only makes 4-5. This means that Samsung has to spend a lot longer tweaking OneUI to work properly on each device compared to Apple. The second reason Samsung takes so long is so that they can give people a reason to buy their new phones. By not giving the S24 OneUI 7 even though they promised 7 years of updates, Samsung can give people a reason to buy the S25 when it’s only a tiny upgrade over the S24. This is a shitty business practice and there should be laws against it

DomtheCuber, 08 Mar 2025“But in the future, they'll develop it once & it w... moreiOS updates roll out to all iOS/iPadOS devices at the same time, worldwide, to all carriers. Instantly.

Why can apple do this, but not Samsung? If you visit the SamMobile firmware page, you'll see that Samsung's updates are segmented by multiple factors:
                - Device
                - Exynos/Snapdragon chip models
                - Region
                - Carrier-lock models
                - Enterprise-Edition models
(Not even Google has this fragmentation)

If Samsung wants to reduce these factors & make updates more streamlined, they need to shave off a lot of old code. They have to spend a little bit of time so that they can start fresh again. If you read about earlier OneUI 7 rumors you'll know that they had to remove TouchWiz code that's been left untouched for a decade. They need to release one Exynos/Snapdragon model to all regions.

The real disappointment is not in delaying OneUI 7. The real disappointment is when OneUI 8 (& later) have the same janky fragmentation as previous OneUI versions.

Still crying in comment sections? Remember Samsung isn't Pixel for you. So its very advanced interface and this time its getting a huge update. Pixels already got it and? No any changes. Same boring ugly interface. Wait for One UI 7 and you will get a stable and cool update.

I just hated the overly vibrant screen on the S2 (and it looked so yellow to me, for some reason). I had phones from Motorola, Asus, Sony, Honor, Huawei, HTC, so lots of different brands. Most of their phones had a bunch of some more some less annoying problems after major updates, but my S23U always just worked well. That's why I personally dont mind slower yet more polished updates.

Also yeah older phones will also work without new updates, but there is no guarantee for how long or if the older OS version will support everything flawlessly in the near future. It's a give and take, no matter how you twist it. Fast updates feel better but can cause issues, slow updates are more polished, but waiting can feel bad. Can't make everybody happy.

You are just as much of an issue as Samsung's current play with their users is, making them wait on the intentionally delayed software updates.

(Some people and even websites may say why f06 uses one ui 7 out of the box and the answer is simple : no matter if they mention [core] in software information section or not, budget phones always get something like uncompleted software or you can say the UI isn't polished and YES nobody cares much about that simply because it's a budget phone after all)
