am, 11 Mar 2025Why not release a tablet with 4:3 aspect ratio ? The ratio ... moreBecause 16:9 is better for watching videos and play games. The 14 inch screen is big enough to browse the web and do productivity work comfortably at this ratio. The screen is wide enough to split the screen in half to multitask.

AlexS, 12 Mar 2025That is too big for free hand use. I use the Xiaomi Pad ... moreXiaomi pads irregardless of processing power or the processor type always deletes files stored on the tablet. It does so all on its own and stealthily. So all of a sudden, you find out one day down the road, all your precious files (especially PDF files have mysteriously disappeared because even deleted files should remain in the trash for 30 days but it's completed obliterated from the device). So it doesn't matter even if the device is equipped with a Quantum Processor, if your files get obliterated out of the blue ! Caveat Emptor people.

I use the Xiaomi Pad 6S pro 12,4" , have 590g weight and that is a good spot, screen size Vs weight . Pretty happy with it.
The only issue is Android and how most apps dump files in download folder only, don't let you choose a folder.

Why not release a tablet with 4:3 aspect ratio ? The ratio apple uses on iPads which is great for reading, school , university and office work.

Though tabs can passively cool 8-10w for sometime atleast. If you remove backcover and put cooler right on top of the soc maybe a big heatsink is enough for passive.

1989, 11 Mar 2025Have you done this before or seen it done by someone else? ... moreYes, geekerwan did an active diy cooler though they significantly overclocked the GPU on a phone with SD855 and matched 888+ performance. I bought an aluminium rugged case for my OP 7 Pro and even with a thermal insulation layer (phones back glass panel) my Geekbench CPU scores were 970-980ish single core as of October 2024 and 2700-2800 multicore. I did not mess with the kernel or anything like that. Everything was pure stock just with the aluminium case.

1989, 11 Mar 2025You dont add a built in one. What size do you have in mind ... moreYou don't need for it to be contained for a mobile SoC. Say for example somthing like a 20-30 gram ribbed section at the back with about 40-50 cm² surface area should do, unless the ambient temperatures are too high to begin with, that's likely more than enough.

Think the back panel with a portion reserved for heat dissipation.
