Feend, 17 Mar 2025why are these people bothered by iphone sales. It is like ... moreWe are bothered about the sheer amount of people buying this worthless, overpriced phone.

Apple devices have benefits, but right now, I would say the negatives outshine those. This phone is barely delivering the basics, yet costs way too much. Even the absolutely boring S25 is a better buy for this (especially since you can often get it for the same price if not less)

I value Apple echo system and hardware for it's consistency and reliabilty . Despit the fact i know they are a few area like hardware the tecknology may have better.

Apple is best at Consistency & Reliability. simple realy

There might be a very good reason for that - the corporate contracts most probably are simply being renewed and they order iPhone 16es in bulk as the cheapest possible current option for company approved work phone with iOS.
No personal user in his right mind would buy this crap at this MSRP, even those coming from older SEs...

Apple buyers really proof once again that they make bad decisions and either don't care or don't know..

All of you, again, fail to see your mistake. You’re interested in tech/phones. 90 percent or more of people aren’t. iPhones have the reputation to work well, people are used to them, sure, there’s also some brand allure, etc. This is more affordable than other iPhones, plus, to former SE users, it has all new design that basically looks exactly like the iPhone 16, people rarely use ultra wide cameras, despite what the reviewers say - some people would pay for a telephoto, but for ultrawide? No chance. Yes, I know that you use it all the time. But most people don’t. They also have no idea about the difference between optical and digital zoom. The see a less expensive iPhone that takes nice photos compared to their previous phone and has all screen design like modern iPhones. Of course it’s going to sell great. And those same people would fail to see any advantage that they would get for the same price with other brands. That additional cameras would go unnoticed. That high refresh screen would go unnoticed. People don’t even know that’s a thing.

So stop expecting the general user base to know about all of that, because they never will. This is the cheapest iPhone. It’s brand new. It looks nice. It works well. It takes nice photos. It’s a good phone. Overpriced? Sure. But it was obvious that it would sell well.

Well it's a phone. And if you get it with a pricey plan anyway, it may just as well be 600 dollars I guess (but here in Europe it's about 700 euros so more like 800 dollars), it's probably kinda hidden in the price of the plan?

For reference, phones with aluminium unibodies had higher bill of materials, notably $230 for the HTC 10 Evo and $380 for the Nokia 8.
