Anonymous, 23 Mar 2025LOL! You think Apple’s solely guilty of withholding tech?Your observation highlights a common sentiment in the smartphone industry: major brands like Apple, Samsung, and Google often introduce incremental updates—such as overclocked processors, battery tweaks, and software enhancements—without substantial innovation between consecutive models. This approach can lead to consumer frustration, especially when future models are discussed before the current version is released.
In contrast, Chinese smartphone manufacturers have been recognized for their rapid innovation and significant improvements year over year. Companies like Huawei, Xiaomi, and Vivo are leading the charge in integrating advanced technologies, particularly in artificial intelligence applications. For instance, Huawei's Pura 70 Ultra has set new standards in smartphone capabilities, showcasing the brand's commitment to pushing technological boundaries.
This dynamic has positioned Chinese brands favorably in various markets, as they continue to offer cutting-edge features and enhanced user experiences, distinguishing themselves from competitors who may focus more on incremental updates.

from camera layout to naming , for apple copying xiaomi is never enough. Luckily apple's kult are dumb to understand this.

                  So original move.

Anonymous, 16 Mar 2025The "e" in 16e was already used in the Samsung Ga... moreS10e is 6 years old at this point and kind of forgotten, whilst S25 Ultra is current offering from the Samsung and it would too on the nose for the Apple to copy that.

But, in the end who knows... They might do that anyways.

Everyone benefits from upgrading the Ultrawide sensor/lens combo to at least match the quality of the main camera because the lowly 12MP resolution of the 48MP quad bayer sensor yields results inferior in good light to a 16MP or 20MP ultrawide sensor of the old-school (genuine resolution, not quad bayer), and yes, we can all see the difference, though in fact at lower magnifications the current 16 Pro ultrawide is still WONDERFUL! (& the only one on a current phone that can now do ultrawide sweep panoramas.

Hmm... If they keep copying like this, probably after iPhone 20, they'll straight go to iPhone 30? To keep up with Samsung's numbers already gone sky high...?

"To keep up...". Hmm, this reminds me of a dialogue in the GTA San Andreas game, said by Ryder to CJ at the start mission of the game. Keep up...
Exactly what Samsung and Apple say to each other.

I switched to iPhone years ago because you couldn't share videos and large files with family and friends who had iPhones without quality loss. Now that it seems like this isn't an issue anymore I'm not going to fork out money for features that android has had for a decade.

Name it iPhone 17 pro max ultra gt premium.

"Reportedly, Apple is preparing to launch an iPhone 17 Ultra this year. But we've heard that one before, at least a couple of times. There were rumors right before the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 16 series releases claiming that the Ultra would either replace the Pro Max or sit above it. Now, the very same rumor is back." This is the major reason Apple sucks! They could've implemented this technology in the 16 Pro Max. Capitalism & materialism! All to keep the consumer distracted & controlled, chasing the latest, shiny new object.
