I think Apple spreads such rumors every year just to stay in news. News like crazy new design, this and that. Just to stay in news and stay in the minds of people. They're not going to release any such model in my opinion.

The name is the same but I do not think that Apple will use the name for its phone as others have already used the name for their phones. Apple use the name for its watch and chipset as others do not use it for their watch/any before.
