Yeah, let's give poor Sammy a chance to try and update their devices, it must be extremely hard work, and while we are at it, let them rip more people off as well.

The one thing Samsung uses as a Unique Selling Point (USP) does not matter at all and people hate it! I've been saying that for ages. Thanks for saying what's been on my mind. People only buy Samsung cus of the name.

Notice how the title is Samsung One UI 7 rollout and not Android 15 because Android 15 was and will always be an underwhelming update.

Everyone cares about One UI 7 and haters can keep hating and moaning and complaining, they can easily use any other Android OEM with their worse UI

I could say something about that just being absolutely nothing more than your own take on the matter. But with you, honestly what would be the point.

Let's just leave it at your right and I'm wrong as usual eh 🤷‍♂️

Most normal people actually dislike frequent phone updates and actively refuse and delay installing them. I can guarantee you no one will be buying another phone just because this update is late by a few months. No one even cares. Only internet trolls who try to create drama where there is none.

DaFink, 8 hours agoGet your act together Samsung, or scale One Ui back to some... moredo you think the heaviness of OneUI is leading them to slow down updates? No. You're dead wrong.

Samsung is intentionally blocking off updates so people go and update/switch to the newer phones after being frustrated. Another excellent example of why manufacturers shouldn't be given too much power/why software can not always trump hardware or how promises will always be just that, promises.

This is top tier delayed garbage.

lmao bro im the one paying for these phones, it's not like im getting these phones for free.

Sure, but it's even more pathetic if it truly takes them this long to perfect an update.

They could have waited and just released Android 16 😀
Yes, long-term support, but stripped of features.
For example, the S23 series will probably not have Audio Eraser, Samsung Log...

ThunderCrackR, 5 hours agoIt actually works quite well, with even Google getting over... moreYes there is integration with Samsung Apps. I am in the Gemini 'App' settings menu right now on my 25 Ultra, and in the productivity section the extensions for Samsung Calendar, Notes and Reminder are all set to on, whilst i have Google workspace set to off.

So now if I ask Gemini to set a reminder for me it does so using Samsung reminders, the moment I turn on the Google workspace extension though it will try to set the reminder using Google Tasks only, even if the app itself isn't installed. The same behaviour is true for Calendar. So I keep the Workspace Extension turned off, but then Gemini will not interact with either Gmail or Google drive, and both of those I do use.

Again this isn't deal breaking or anything. The most annoying thing part is where reminders are concerned, I often using voice assistants to set reminders, and Gemini having a preference for Google Tasks (which is a bare bones reminder app at best, doesn't even have location based reminders) is a right pain!

And no, I don't believe they are holding it intentionally. No one buys a smartphone because it has a latest software, maybe 0.1%.
If it happens again, i will be disappointed too.
