Last I checked 300 is still way lower than 500 for a ugly gimped phone.
If you can't get rid of ads on Android, what even are you using Android for, it's not at all a difficult task.
Go to Adguard website (official not playstore) download the app and juat enable the DNS service that acts like a VPN and enjoy ad free everything including other apps you install on your phones. I've been using it aince 2016 and even on a phone I switched to a couple months ago is already doing great, I have saved about 1.3TB of data and blocked over 10.2 million ads, trackers and requests.
Or simply go to WiFi settings, switch to manual DNS and type in dns.adguard.com or find DNS address for IPV4 and IPV6 to strip your network of ads and other crap.
If you're more inclined, get shizuku and strip everything you don't need on your phone via ADB. It's ridiculously easy.
I don't even remember last time I had to deal with an ad on even the most notorious ad infested apps and websites.

People who bitch about bezels are the same ones who say plastic cheapens a phone. I HATE glass backs on phones - it's not premium, it's fragile as hell, it's slippery as sh*t, it adds mountains of useless weight, and every benefit you get from glass you can also get from plastics.
