I mean how much of a fanboy can one be to ignore all facts and believe that those regulacions where made for apple only? To have a life is one thing, to get a life is second most important.

This is not about other mobile brands, it is about opening the platform for other products instead of forcing customers to buy only theirs. Pretty much stopping that garbage of a brand from blocking other manufacturers from selling their ideas. Meaning? Apple messed with wired headphones that were not made by apple, with smartwaches that are not made by apple, actually prety much anything that was not made by apple, even cables. So you see, little apple fany, in a world where competition counts, and diversity is important, you cannot be a dictator no mater w7hat your fans dream about.

Only because you can read a comment on gsmarena, does not mean that, that comment is also right. Minding the fact that here are mostly fanboys that are even close to being adults, it is safe to say: take it eith a grain of salt.
As for the comment i and you are refering too: Well nope the person has no idea what he/she/it is talking about.

That u have to buy overpriced products because u cant use another cheaper one with limited experience not only that OS is gonna constatly remind u that u have to use THEIR product. THIS is thriving? I think thats yours APPLE fantasy.
Google knows what regulation means, but Apple is a newcomer and has never had to deal with it, and now that it has grown into an oligopoly, it simply has to be regulated.

For EU, Apple is roughly only hold about 30% market share. Samsung alone is also around 30%. Majority is Android. If the reasoning is profit, then it proved my point, that the EU legislators motivation is monetary. They simply want money from Apple, plain and simple.

If Apple were the only smartphone manufacturer, then yes it's a problem. But they're not, and Android is the majority by a large margin. So targeting Apple specifically is clearly monetary motivated. They actually know their demands are irrelevant towards competition as you said it yourself, there's Android. The competition is already there and thriving. So what they're doing is just hoping for Apple to pay the fines.

potato4k, 21 Mar 2025No. This particular one is specific for Apple. Regulators... moreEU regulators are forcing Apple as they don't need Samsung or Google to because Samsung and google or android in general has been applying this or already in placed in there system and apple has yet to implement it and only apple is the only closed ecosystem right now.

Regulators always after the big money first. The hope is for the company to be unable to meet the demand and be forced to pay the fines, which is beneficial for the EU. There's actually zero concern for consumers or actual competition

What Apple is being forced to do is what Google Android has been allowing for year. I like my Galaxy S25 Ultra 1TB. I'll never buy an iPhone from Apple.
