I am glad apple is being forced to play nice with others, in the computer world this has not been tolerated for decades, compatibility is almost across the board. even web browsers had to tow the line and chrome is currently under the spotlight.

There is zero reason why apple devices cant play nice with non apple devices, and apple can still maintain control at the system level, as in it can offer alternatives and companies wishing to access these options have to make sure their device meets certain security standards.
Apple has for far too long been a walled garden, and its about time that wall was reduced.

Just like apple freely leeches off of ram and storage upgrades.
