I guess the golden ratio rule is true. This is an older aspect ratio but still pleasing and a breath of fresh air.

Anything above 18:9 is terrible for a phone.

I wanna see a 16:10 ratio candybar (non-foldable) phone with at least 6.8 inch diagonal. So versatile and easy on the eyes

    Interesting. Would love to handle it in person.

      Im starting to warm up to this, but I don't consider a different aspect ratio revolutionary or innovative. It's just a different aspect ratio. I used to daily the google nexus tablet and a Asus memo pad, so I could certainly see advantages to this design. If I were to buy a smaller complimentary foldable to use alongside the Z, I would definitely get this over a flip. I think it needs to be thinner though. Looks like it might be harsh on the pockets being thick and wide.

                Cpt.Power, 20 Mar 2025Will be lot of fun making and finding case for this. Chinese sellers are bound to have them. Lazada and Shopee sells so many stuff (not only phone cases) from expensive to cheap items that I thought never existed.

                World no longer revolves around USA telcos like the old days.

                  I probably would never use something like this but it is a cool idea. Lots of good use cases like gaming or reading. Just happy someone is actually innovating, keeps the "smartphone innovation is dead" people at bay for a little longer.

                  And the collectors edition red looks really really good, I'd love a regular phone in the colourway.

                    It's impossible *not* to be a fan of Huawei when stuff like this gets released!

Battery life will also be great if cover screen is used more. It is a great innovation by huawei. Nobody even consider this form factor. So kudos to huawei.. great work. I wish this come with a mid-range chipset that is battery efficient and also with Google apps in it. And I am a proud owner of mate 50.

                          Seems like a great design, like it could have some of the best features from both style foldables. I hope there's a global version of this at some point, this is exactly the type of innovation that is needed.

                            I would like to own one of these but the price is just too crazy for my need on a phone. It's not a desktop computer that it should cost as much. While desktop computer even in middle class will last over 10 years. But phones are like 5 years and then it's already time to get a new phone just to be on date with the technology.

                            Something like 7/7s gen 3 would be more then enough performance on a phone like this and last for 5 years and if the price would be like at most top 400 euro then it would be nice and i mean the most storage and ram version so the lowest storage and ram be like 300 euro or under it.

                            At that price these foldables would sell like hot cakes and probably everyone would have one. But all these flips and fold are too expensive for 90% of world population
