      Where you but hurt over understanding what rumors and influencers told the internet vs what Samsung officially as stated that skewed what you shouldn't and should expect respectively?!

      I swear the internet is full of people that fail at basic research, reading comprehension and understanding what's real or fake through a comouting device connected to the internet!

      It's literary no different than reading a politics commentary on X ! SMH when will people discern the difference between facts n looking for it vs conjecture n paid opinions.

        The reason pixel get same day software update is because it runs on stock android, while other phone manufacturers have to put their own skin or ui on the new android version and add new features also make it run smooth for each of their devices

It's one ... moreGoogle hasn't had an issue with this even on non pixel devices, my find X5 has loads of "a.i." extras from Gemini and getting android updates, I get the pixel photography a.i. features on it. Think colourOS added some nice extras too and generally brings features that vanilla android ends up adopting (I'm on a pixel 8 pro now, still use my find X5 as a backup/drive).

                Stop with the Samsung spam, this isn't news (7 years of updates, which means updating oneUI too, on 4 year old devices, let's give em a medal).

                OneUI has never been enjoyable to use when using my families and friends Samsung devices, Samsung just adds "a.i" to everything now and goes home for the day (Gemini absolutely destroys Samsung a.i. and Bixby btw).

I've never had any problems with Xiaomi, 1+, Samsung, or any brand I've used. I haven't even done a factory reset before an update. I'm not talking about the bugs that you can't avoid regardless of when you upload the update. I'm talking about the phone "breaking" after an update. This is not luck to me, but the way the phone is used. You can't disable 100 things, stop system processes, etc. and hope that after an update everything will run smoothly. Although I always stop Google Apps and AI assistants the moment I take the phone out of the box and I haven't had any problems with the updates.

It's one of the biggest updates Samsung has ever done. It has: OneUI 7, Android 15, tons of new AI features and companion AI apps, etc. All that is being brought to older phone hardware which wasn't specifically even designed with AI in mind. So it's understandable that a lot of extra time was needed to make sure everything works on previous devices. It also doesn't mean that future updates will be even slow. In fact the opposite. We already saw news few days ago that Samsung seems to be accelerating Android 16 development. Anyway, pointless to discuss anything here, just trolls and bots.

                          They also never said it will take them 6 months to push 1 update. Not to mention, that if the very first OS update is already slow for 1 year old, or less than 1 year old devices, what will happen when these devices, namely the S24 series and the Flip6/Fold6 get older? Older devices tend to get their software update slower and slower, how much slower can an OS update get than taking 6 months?

                          Samsung won't be able to keep their promise.

                            Joke aside, seems like there are different experiences everywhere. Might be I was lucky, maybe others were unlucky..who knows. I also avoid installing updates just when they come out so it might be that this habit saved me..idk, my experience is great. YMMV.
