I love it when people cant agree about something like oled and ips and everyone is surfing to prove that they are right and all others are wrong.

But for us who live in SE Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, etc ), Xiaomi phones are reasonably priced and are way cheaper than Samsung, Apple, and Google's offerings, so we can expect a ~$500 price tag or maybe even lower.

Anonymous, 22 Mar 2025Just search 'OLED bad for eyes' on reddit and you... moreOLED is not and can never be bad for your eyes; PWM is. Infact, low PWM to be precise. In terms of quality, OLED is many times better than regular LCDs. It's even more durable and flexible, allowing for curved screen innovations for better viewing angles and portability.

The Ultra throttles badly, I'm not paying 100% for something I get 60% from

Poco Ultra is great but the price point is the determining factor of their true value. If they are priced at sub $500 it'll make the iPhone 16e and Pixel 9a completely obsolete. But we're probably looking closer to a $700 price tag since the Pro is the one going sub $500 and it's not much of a looker. Too bad really.

There were a few phones that did weird things, like "upgrading" the processor to something different that barely gives a performance boost or adding a telephoto yet keeping the worthless 2 mp macro sensor.

As for the watches, Garmin tends to use other display technology to get long battery life, which is good if you often use it outdoors for things like hiking or bicycling, while Samsung\ Apple go more towards the "fashionable accessoire" route. For me, a Garmin would be a worse choice because of missing some ecosystem stuff my Galaxy Watch Ultra has and because I prefer the look over the usually more rugged Garmin style

For all the bla bla bla, if you can afford it, this could be the basic smartphone you should get if you opt for upgrade from smartphone from 4 to 5 years ago. For those looking for "more premium" feature such as better camera, wireless charging, high IP rating, look else where. Else, for a discounted price, still cannot beat POCO F series low cost flagship for what they can offer. You can start with the Pro rather than Ultra.

Does it have LTPO screen or no? I assume not cuz that's where they usually save costs.

do you think LCD is good for eyes ? like when you using max brightness ?

most oled display already using 120hz + there is blue-tint dimmer (warm/eye-comfort-mode)
if it ruin most user eyes and reported by lots of people, its already banned in many countries

Both literally need the best watch with best battery life with the best health feature capability (and many other features I guess? I'm not really into smartwatches tbh).

And yeah, idk if it's you or not, but if you check another comment sections you will easily find comments like "This phone doesn't deserve the name "Pro" at all because there's nothing really Pro about this phone."
