Is the Dxt-48 that the g5 will use is inferior with the dxt-7x that the mysterious xiaomi chip will use?

    Google and PLEASE make XXL size phone so it will be 7'' screen nice flat screen half of milimeter thin bezels ans at least 6000 battery

      Hopes that the IMG GPUs fix problems in Vulkan/OpenCL make functional when Pixel 10 got released.

      It does not solve issue recently, with Dimensity 7020 uses IMG BXM-8-256 GPU, specifically to Geekbench 6 Compute (very poor scores), 3DMark Wild Life (unsupported), and other modern games (Warzone Mobile, Asphalt Legends Unite).

      If Google fix that, they'll be able to use Vulkan/OpenCL properly, especially requiring to use RAY TRACING!

      That's super interesting if I can test it with Geekerwan's Benchmark “CyberRoom” for Android (with Ray Tracing on Vulkan).

            I remember the PowerVR GPUs by imagination technology and those were really ahead of their time. Apple being apple, almost killed Imagination in late 20's but it's really nice to see them back. Let's hope they tackle all the efficiency issues Mali GPUs come with and deliver a good competition to Adreno.

            Apple used to use Imagination GPUs but it's been a while since they've been used in flagship chipsets. Hope they can compete. Seems like Google and Xiaomi thinks they can.

              The soc is shaping up to be good. I hope they don't price it ridiculously.

                Be great if they can at least match SD 8 Gen 2 or D9200 Performance at least, ideally 8 Gen 3 or 9300+ to ease the digestion of the flagship++++ prices they charge for their nowhere near flagship performance.

                Texas Instruments: Returns with a Dual A72 processor with Imagination GPU
                Allwinner A733: Similar to the UNISOC with Imagination GPU.
