    Years ago, xiaomi advertised phone against compact camera for night photos.
    Compact camera = shutter 1/15s
    Phone = shutter 4s

    You can get first cam from digital photography era. Not even this camera gives photos that look like oil painting or wax. No need sharpening to look better.

      Still, Huawei takes better photos than everyone and they don't have 20 fancy dedicated chips, on the contrary, they are underpowered. It's firstly about optics and great software.

The fact that the Vivo comes close in quality in a night photo is just phenomenal. Notice how the iPhone 16 Pro Max doesn't come close in quality.

                  sending videos in messenger iphone retained hd quality while vivo sent sd
                  but sending pictures in hd, same quality on messenger and whatsapp
                  story video, same quality
                  timeline video, same quality
                  and since they recently added hd photos my guess is that hd videos will come for messenger too on android, whatsapp already added them

                                In the end , zero advantage over Spectra.
                                This is why oppo and sony stopped using own.

                                  tbh, the only thing that I think would be great (especially in flagship chinese phones) is to put a whole chip just to improve selfie quality (image and video)

                                        It seems that in the comparison, there is a clearly visible difference: X200 > 5D4 > 16 Pro Max. However, to judge the quality accurately, we may need more sample pictures in different scenarios.
