Weekly poll: what do you think of the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra?

Why i got F5 two years ago was cause it was still in the range of 400 euro and was a bang for a buck.
F5 Pro already made no sense to have over 100 euro higher price for just a bit better CPU that unlock more camera features support for the same camera as the F5 had.
And over 500 euro for a phone i would spend only if i get a Samsung S24 for 530 euro.
That price range is already no sense for me to go with Chinese brand.
But well Poco F series now is just over priced and the best Poco as worth to get will be Poco X series Pro version cause that is now really a bang for a buck for 300 euro you get the D8400
All the ads and stuff talk is just from the people who have for some reason hate on the brand so big that they have a derangement syndrome.
Every brand have bloatware or code work in the OS to spy on you and so on. To think that Western brands are more trustworthy over Chinese brands makes no sense too,

Guys stop whining about ads and other spam.
I literally just deleted 1,5 gigabytes worth of trashware from my stock hyperOS ROM and now it runs very smooth and optimized and fast. Just like good old miui. 👍

Anonymous, 30 Mar 2025https://samsungmobileclub.com/how-to-remove-pop-up-ads-on-s... moreYou can easily turn off most of the ads on Samsung phones.
Whereas for Xiaomi phones it's far more complex and can even involve rooting the device.

Anonymous, 30 Mar 2025Maybe you need to see the Samsung A series user crying over... moreClearly you've never used an A series samsung before. They have far less ads, and most of them can easily be disabled.

hev.c, 30 Mar 2025I've never seen youtubers complain much about Samsung ... moreXiaomi ads only when you use 5 of their apps.
You can NOT using that app
Or just set not to accept the ads
Samsung ads on the other hand is on their push notifications directly from their server. And after using the device for 6 months the amount of push notifications will be around 1 ads each minute

I guess it's a fine duo, except for the lack of USB-C 3.1/3.2 with wired video output. It should be illegal for this kind of phone to have a USB-C 2.0 port! At this point, I would consider the ZTE nubia Red Magic 10 Pro very seriously instead.

There are mixed feelings about this phone. For one, (Xiaomi) Poco as a company is getting better and better, while still maintaining their selling points.
On the other hand, better hardware equates to more cash, and this is passed straight down to the consumers. This is a bad sign for the future of the brand as a whole, as it keeps getting better, consequently increasing it's pricing.
I'd like to see a comparison between this device and the Iqoo 13 or the GT7 pro, as this would tell us if the Poco still offers good price to performance ratio

neither of these seem like they are much value for money hardware wise, it's like they have have gone down the samsung a series route except these are supposed to be their top line stuff. personally i would also avoid them due to hyperos.

Anonymous, 30 Mar 2025I prefer Xiaomi "bloatware" compare to Samsung &q... moreI've never seen youtubers complain much about Samsung bloatware on flagships because it's much more restricted and can easily be fixed. But I've seen a lot of youtubers complain about the amount of bloatware you get even on Xiaomi's flagship phones. Xiaomi consistently pushes ads on most of their devices.

Anonymous, 30 Mar 2025I prefer Xiaomi "bloatware" compare to Samsung &q... moreNot true. Xiaomi is way, way, WAAAAY worse when it comes to pushing apps and ads. I don't need my phone reminding me every hour what themes I install... especially when I thought I had disabled that crap.

Anything Poco above $500 is ridiculous. Why would I want to pay $500+ for a phone with ads? I mean might as well get the Xiaomi 14T.

HyperOS Bloatware Unleashed ✔️I prefer Xiaomi "bloatware" compare to Samsung "bloatware"
Samsung have more of Samsung stuff
And when you first start the phone, it will download using wifi/mobile data another bloatware
And when you use the samsung device they will keep sending notification spam from samsung server and occasionally install (download) apps from Samsung store
