A phone needs to sell well to make sense business-wise.
Companies whose phones didn't sell well are either dead or no longer producing any phones.

I think they ran out of ideas to innovate and decided "slim" is the next big thing lol. at least they should have used si/c batteries instead

X, 29 Mar 2025Not slimness but the curves at the edge of screenYeah that's true. "Edge" originally referred to the steep display curves, which first started with the Galaxy Note Edge.

3900mAh? That's literally the same capacity as the Galaxy S23. And with larger screen size, it'll use more battery juice than the 6.2" compact. This is a literal joke nobody asked for other than following Apple's footstep.

The problem with all brands is that they compromise on one crucial aspect or another, while asking for a higher price with no justification. That's why I haven't decided to replace my current phone from 2017 with a newer one.

Just give me a 9.5mm thick phone with an all-aluminium (or all-titanium if it's grade 5 titanium) body (frame and back part of unibody structure) so that I don't need to carry around a case. Make the unibody have rounded edges while having a flat screen; have the frame cover the front of the phone like a case would; give it a big Si/C battery; and give it great cameras, and you're good to go. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

Most people here don't understand that the snapdragon 8 elite is very efficient. On my s25 it lasts all day without a problem. Also unless you are a blue collar worker, you can just charge your phone at work, it's not a big deal. People are sick of heavy thick phones for the sake of one more screen on time.

[deleted post]And the fact that there's no justification whatsoever for that price + the traditional Li-Ion battery would inflate the phone after a couple of years.
