JL, 07 Apr 2025Why? Why does Qualcomm have to be so obsessed with benchmar... moreThat's just how the industry works, SoCs aren't sold to end users, they're sold to device manufactures. If your SoC doesn't significantly wipe the floor with the competition then more companies will just stick to their own in house designs. Also Qualcomm have their eyes on the desktop market, they're honing in on replacing Intel, in order to do that, they need massively more powerful and efficient architecture so that they can translate x86 on the fly.

Apple did the same thing, it was really strange seeing them improve their SoCs by 30% or so every year until they dropped M1 and ditched Intel and suddenly all that investment made sense, paid for by end users who wanted insane overkill performance in the palm of their hands

Why? Why does Qualcomm have to be so obsessed with benchmarks.... There is no meaningful gain in use factors. 2.6 million is enough, just make it significantly more efficient.

Idk... I like iterative upgrades sometimes.

I think instead of saying "AnTuTu isn't everything", the author should say "chipset isn't everything on Antutu".
Antutu is a genuine score, it's just that it includes a lot more than just the chipset..

I assumed that's common knowledge on how bootable media works but clearly I gave you too much credit in benefit of doubt.

Your lack of knowledge and lack of will to research is not my problem or responsibility.

Even SD8+ Gen1 Can run all games now., even the Mid Tier SOC that almost half of performance of SD8+ gen1 is Common phone now.

Anyway this phone SOC is for rich people or just a long time user that didnt upgrade their phone for past 4 or more years. if you are tight budget this SOC is basically waste of money for you due to Overkill performace or lets say wasted performance.

Let rich people become trial users for their new improved SOC. no need to waste money on wasted performance.
