Don't buy iQOO and Vivo phones; all phones are facing 5G network issues in all countries. Funtouch OS or hardware issue? Vivo did not fix or know this issue.

I think I will upgrade to x300 ultra from samsung s24 ultra iam using. Reason
    1. S pen is downgraded
    2. Camera is too bad in ranking as per doxomark
    3. Gimmics like ai is highlighted but no real hardware upgrades or anything new is there. Same old design charging screen etc..

Anonymous, 31 Mar 2025It does matter. You need 8K to crop 2x to have 4K. Othe... moreMe thinks it's like audio, where clarity is preferable than loudness.
What if the image isn't as pristine?
A stabilized image is preferable than a sharper image.

Those who says iPhones stabilization is on point need to be seen by doctor and eye hospital yall blind !

Anonymous, 01 Apr 2025Here it's not a case of better or worse stabilization,... moreyeah and the super steady mode is supposed to act like a gimbal. Vivo wins.

O, 31 Mar 2025Usual issue with Vivo flagships - WAY too much contrast and... morei mean you can easily bump down the contrast and saturation with the sliders, that's the one thing Vivo's done well since last year and that's the power of OPTIONS. They've given the users OPTIONS, you can CHOOSE what style you want. Some actually think the contrast isn't enough and bump it up to Leica Authentic levels whereas others like you do the opposite.

Btw keep in mind, the difference in the contrast of these phones may seem exaggerated in comparisons cus iPhone/Pixel shots usually overcompensate with hdr and have less contrast-ey shots compared to a regular SDR shot from a full frame or something whereas Vivo and stuff try to balance it out. Enough HDR to not blow out stuff but not so much that it looks fake and contrast-less.

punmeisterone, 31 Mar 2025Indeed! From the machine translated Weibo post Vivo states ... moreHell yeah!!!!

Aierlan, 01 Apr 2025Right. Just curious how you can tell whether or not it'... moreProbably through logs and imaging behavior. As for who used it so far in stock camera, xiaomi 14 series has been first with usage in ultraraw and log recording("ratios"), for former combined with staggered hdr, problem is that it isn't full implementation with 4 stops of conversion gain, others, especially oppo, didn't make forays into it, honor doesn't use even lofic and runs sensors in 10-bit mode despite advertising sensor properties when it's used. As for outside stock camera modders have made sensors run in dcg mode with gn2 on mi 11 ultra and lyt-900 on xiaomi 14 ultra with very strong results.

Anonymous, 01 Apr 2025sony 818 sensors are backdated.. .. and usuing same sensors... moreThey are 2 different cameras with different lens but the same quality sensor. It won't crop anything for the main sensor. Actually using the same sensor for both cameras will result in having same color balance and not seeing a completely different picture when you switch from one camera to the other, like it happens in so many devices.

Here it's not a case of better or worse stabilization, its just different stabilization effect. Vivo has girls' head pinned in place so you get a notion that you are following her from camera in the air, while iPhones' effect is that you are running together with her. Just two different effects.

sony 818 sensors are backdated.. .. and usuing same sensors for ultrwide camera is rubbish.. as we have to use the ultra wide cam to crop into 23 mm fecal length to capture normal wide pictures.. picture quality will not be very good.

Finally Vivo is putting back ois on all rear cameras! The last time they have that is Vivo X70 Pro+! Hopefully they don't downgrade it in next generation again + putting ois and af on selfie camera too.
