1. Dual messenger: so I can have two WhatsApp app in one phone.
2. Routines: super powerful automation script. It even beats Siri shortcut on iOS imo.
3. Increasing touch sensitivity feature (glove mode) allowing the use of the phone while wearing gloves.
4. Dex

Pixel has its own unique features, but the only one I would be interested is the Add Me feature. I wish other OEMs would copy it. Still, not enough to dethrone OneUI for my needs.

Can you tell me what specifically you find as a negative towards stock android and what you like about oneui? I've been comparing features and stock android has caught up in most areas.

I think it's an overpriced waste of rare earth minerals and other resources.
Throw it in the e-garbage bin where it belongs!

I am 100% happy with my Xiaomi phone. Now that's a real smartphone.
Phone manufacturer of the year prize goes to Xiaomi.

I find the specifications to be quite underwhelming for the price tag. Even the Samsung mid-ranger seem like value for money, in comparison to this!

Really dig the form factor. Decent width, flat back, and no camera bump.
Too bad I don't find stock Android particularly useful compared to OneUI. If this thing ran OneUI, it would be sweet.

I think it's still a beta state phone, like every single pixel ever made. That they request full price for, while you are doing the same thing as the beta testers who gets the phone for free.

Everyone has seen $200 phones that look better than the 9a.

Like design but want battery and software as good

Is what is written in this article true? At least I don't want to believe it.

Tranquillow, 23 hours agoGood luck unlocking their bootloaders thoOh yeah, forgot about that.
Still, there's Samsung S24 FE for that, and HyperOS isn't as difficult.

justasmile, 06 Apr 2025OnePlus 13R, not to mention F7 Ultra, has already made this DOAPixel 9a is alot more competitive since it's there same tensor G4. G4 as a flagship processor is complete fail but midrange/low end is not too bad.

That said 500 is too much 350-400 on a sale could be okay.

-Andy-, 06 Apr 2025Thick ass bezels, slow charger, garbage chipset Tensor chip is good for a midrange 9a. But for pro XL Tensor is absolutely garbage.

I think it's a better package than the 8a EXCEPT for the camera. I can't see how a change from 1/1.73” to 1/2.0" is an upgrade, only a downgrade.

I'm buying it over the pixel 9 pro. I love the flat back design (been annoyed with the camera islands for a while now) and the bigger battery. The bezels are fine for me as long as the screen is big enough.

Expensive for the specs, but I doubt the people actually buying this will actually care.
