You sir, clearly have not any idea in the slightest how the little.BIG processors work in general. There are indeed 8 CPU cores, the thing is that only 4 cores can be used for processing at once. Either the 4 cortex-a7 or the cortex-a15 cores. Performance-wise you're actually looking at a quad-core phone since -not even in benchmarks- all of the 8 cores can be utilized at the same time.

cheebc, 04 Sep 2013xperia Z = 5" Z1 = 5" so pls tell me how big is... moreI think mico was referring to the body size and weight differences. The Z1 is nowhere near as light, small or slim as the Z is (personally that's not too big an issue).

The Xperia Z has been the best smartphone experience thus far. Over a year down the line, no slowdowns, the case still looks new, screen bright as ever and performance that does not disappoint. Honami has some big shoes to fill. Looks like the Honami is an improved version of the Z.

This snap-on camera is really pointless due to its size.

The camera module is huge and therefore you will not carry it around in your pockets all the time. Thus, it defeats the purpose of a good mobile phone camera (ie. always having a good camera in your pocket).

I agree, new model, faster processor and better camera, but the xperia z1 weighs 18% more than the xperia z and 31% more than the galaxy s4 for the same 5 inch screen...

Ok, it is bigger than on the other smartphones (1/3"), but not as big as the RX100.

A couple months ago my wife put her iphone 4S AND a bottle of water in her purse without capping the bottle tightly enough. The phone got soaked in water for about 1/4 hour and went dead. I was able to fix it by replacing a damaged capacitor on the logic board and recovered all functions after a week, but she's already wanted a water resistant phone (instead of not putting phone and water together). So she got an Xperia Z, happy with everything else but deeply disappointed with the quality of the display. I guess anyone who comes off Apply's Retina IPS display panel would complain a stone age TFT like the one on an Xperia Z. She was able to return the Z and had since been waiting for the Z1. I hope Sony makes it right on the diaplay this time around so that my wife can spend a bit of more time in the kitchen than on the computer getting "teased" by the teasers all day long.
