The OnePlus 13T will likely be the first model to ditch the Alert Slider in favor of a smart button

OnePlus is moving its whole product line in that direction, but it looks like the 13T will get there first.

Sort by:

First Oneplus phone rather than first phone. The find x8s series will launch this Thursday and will ditch the slider for a button also. The find x8 ultra launching on Thursday also will have this button instead of an alert slider. This should be a nice improvement over the alert slider

    nice idea!!! We can use dedicated buttons or shortcuts for meaningful stuff

        BUTTONS =/= slider

        2 Mode slider >>> 3 mode slider

        Instead of removing the slider, you should iterate on it by making it 2 modes only (Ringing/Vibrate) & make it work with cases without requiring case makers to dig a hole to the side that is hard to reach into with your nails.
