I don't know if there's any actual in core architecture difference.
But the GPU upgrade + memory + cache + denser node should bring a respectable upgrade. Nothing great, but good is good.

    what matter is performance - power efficiency - and thermal under load

    if it proved to have good performance increase compared to current 8 elite 1 then all is good

        ...that would just be the same CPU cores as the current Snapdragon 8 Elite tho, that chip already has 2nd generation Oryon cores (the Snapdragon X-series is the only line that has first generation cores). Either that's wrong and it is supposed to say "third generation" or were in for a very boring chip.

          And Samsung won't be using this for next year's S26 series?

          Exynos better be just as good.

            OK, so let me start the discussion. Isn't it obvious that we need a USB4 support with that chipset?

                    Had Qualcomm not modified the design and introduced Oryon we'd probably have to wait another year or two for these gains.

                    Pretty sure ARM dropped the suit against Qualcomm as well.

They have been handheld computers for years now, pretty sure half the brands have some form of a "desktop" mode and the type C port can pretty much do anything from storage, pass through for audio devices (so a headphone jack), midi device, data transfer, act as a modem, charging (and way more) Plus it's also a portable modem that can use BT to share data.

                                      This is excluding cameras good enough for low end content creation, screens which probably beat most people's tvs and ray tracing cores in their GPU.
