Anonymous, 14 Apr 2025The simple solution is 'don't buy it'! It... moreGTd, it is hard to say if there are better or more refined options. Oneplus is the only manufacturer with Wear OS enabled watch, which can last more than a day. In the direction of refinement, I don't believe there is really refined smart watch in the world. They all are big and ugly, except Pixel (which I won't buy since it doesn't allow standard straps) and Galaxy Watches 40 mm.

The simple solution is 'don't buy it'! It's not rocket science; there are other better, more refined choices.

Well you get what you vote for! It’s £269 here in the UK. Looks like US citizens will be going on tech shopping holidays abroad and save loads of cash in the coming years…

KevinPhoenix, 11 Apr 2025So then why is the OnePlus 13 still listed as $899, hmm?Because OP13 is long back launched and they have stock in US, any new shipments will be suspended or show increased price. All those goods arrived before are not necessarily increasing rate.

Anonymous, 11 Apr 2025before you say '(insert slur here) trump' let ... moreYep. I honestly really like the depiction of "mayors" in cartoons. All of the "mayors" in the cartoons are portrayed as incompetent, ugly, and obese while wearing a suit and tie. For me everyone is like that in real life xD

It's actually happening, wow. And the issue with misspelling "Made in China" seems now even more ridiculous. Now the watch is unsaleable.

I managed to get the watch on day 1 of its original preorder window, and at its $329 price point. You'd have to really strain your eyes to even see the "Meda in China" words on the bottom. It's a great watch and works so fluidly and fast. However...I would absolutely NOT pay pretty much $500 for this watch under any circumstances! To those who missed out, I feel for you. China is really digging their own economic grave here.

As a Brit it's funny to see the Americans getting a shot at paying way more for tech. Usually it's us getting screwed. I just got the email from one plus offering it for under £200 with a free pair of ear buds worth £79.

HomerName, 11 Apr 2025Wireless charging = no need to carry additional cable with ... moreYour argument about charger is simply ridiculous in case of oneplus watch (2&3). I use oneplus watch 2 and so seldom I have to charge it when travelling because the battery can hold up for 3-4 days on single charge. For trips longer than that, I would need to bring cable anyway for my phone and laptop (charge it with PD USB C when travelling). You argued that with wireless charging you can charge it with your phone, but let me ask this: would you still need cable anyway to charge your phone? If you charge your phone wirelessly, wouldn't you still need cable for the wireless charger? Also the way you brought USB A into conversation doesn't make any sense. Oneplus watch charger is simply a small pluck with USB C port so it uses the same cable you would need to charge your phone. For me your argument in regards of charger looks more like a made up problem rather than a real life one.
As for UWB, it could be different also from country to country. So I think your argument is valid as for some people it would be still useful.

Eliezerjk, 11 Apr 2025Here's my take on wireless charging: it's nice to... moreWireless charging = no need to carry additional cable with you while travelling(just charge overnight with phone’s reverse charging), no need to match this cable with power bank/laptop/tablet port(problematic if its usb A and all of your tech is Type-C only), no contacts to rust after swimming in salt water.
UWB - car unlock, smart door unlock. Also in EU, I use it and I wont buy either smartphone or smartwatches without it, and I know a lot of people who use it.
