We took the flagship cameraphone on a walk around Xi'an in China.

It's a mystery why Gsmarena never shows 12x sample images from phones that have an effective resolution of 12 megapixel at 12x. The 6x camera doesn't have 12 megapixel... It has nearly 50 megapixel and should be also used at 12x just like 50 megapixel 1x cameras that are used at 2x.

    Everyone wait for the Vivo X200 ultra. These latest mobiles are all the same, only difference between them is the camera. Vivo is miles ahead of all smartphone companies. Maybe Oppo find x8 ultrA, or Xiaomi 15 ultra is the best today, but the Vivo beast is coming.

      As per the EXIF info of the samples, the physical focal length of the longer telephoto is 24.85mm, and therefore the focal-length equivalent works out to be 131.25mm (as opposed to X7 Ultra which was 134.97mm, very close to the advertised value). Also, the lens aperture (diameter) now calculates to 8.016mm, so when compared to 5.2 mm of x7 Ultra, it would admit 237% light, not 251%.

      It would have required a 25.55 mm physical focal length to meet the advertised values. Xiaomi 15 Ulra's telephoto retains the distinction of having the longest physical focal length at 25.1 mm.

            Look impressive to me. The portrait of this lady in a leather jacket.... the texture on the leather is really very detailed.

                I'm the tests against S25 ultra that I saw on YouTube, Samsung is below by much.
                Colors in X8 ultra are excellent compared to other phones. That little 2mp sensor is a must have now

                  impressive telephoto.

                    Still prefer leica xiaomi colour tone compared vivo zeiss and oppo/1+ hasselblad ones. Low light samples looks too bright so it missed the night nuance itself.

                      Low light is my favorite on this. I still dislike Oppo's processing since they seem to always overexposed or over brighten shots like to the extreme. I think they should focus on colours more for their processing.

                      Still wished it has a global release tho.

                        Landscape and structures look good with the 1x camera, but when it comes to foliage it still has some painting look to it. And people look plastic. The Chinese manufacturers like "AI" too much.

                        I know this will sound crazy, but I still prefer the Nokia 808 PureView's camera to any other smartphone's. It's not modern, it clips light and is unforgiving to any shake in low light, but in my opinion when it takes a good photo, it takes the best photo. No other smartphone camera has been able to produce photos that look like they came out of a DSLR like the 808 has been able to.

                          Yeah, this thing looks insane. Imagine how good it's gonna be with a few updates as well.

                            Again no 12x sample images even though the sensor allows for 12 megapixel images at 12x.
