Some talk about potential bad press but, they forget how many cars and other products get recalled and life goes on and so does the company.
Last thing, the more devices are sold (supply), the better the odds that prices will drop. Plus the big $ isn't in flagships, those are actually marketing when you look at the overall sales strategies.

Just some more ODM devices with Mediatek chipsets. Indkal is a well known white label ODM product brand. Don't expect a lot more than stock AOSP and middling camera performance.
Software support should be 2 years OS + 1 year security, that's the MTK ODM package these days

I don't understand how the parent company gaining any benefit by lending their brand to be used by a generic ODM.
Like, if I found out the Acer phone shitty, I wouldn't definitely buy any products that were made by genuine Acer like their Monitor or Laptops.

If their other phones used Helio P/G36, then these 5G phones is probably just another Dimensity 700 clones. I believe that's the cheapest 5G SoC, unless Unisoc has one for less.
