DarlingYext, 14 Apr 2025Ulefone Armor 30 Pro, for more look through the rest of Ule... moreHow is this superior to this device?
1. It has weaker soc overall
2. Msrp is almost same $549
3. It lack usb 3 which is almost must have in enterprise environment where workers use monitors
4. It's heavy asf 500G, that's heavier than most 10" tablets, imagine any worker using 500G phone.
5. It's doesn't have any enterprise security features like those accompanied by knox
6. Questionable software updates
7. Questionable build quality
8. It come pre installed with malware etc

Thats just gimmick phone tailored to average consumer, no serious enterprise would touch that.

One enterprise would order hundred thousands of these phones, it's not like these enterprise don't know there are Better speced phones out there, they know better than me and you.

I can't take any "rugged" phone with less than AT LEAST a 6000mAh batt seriously, let alone anywhere in the 4000mAh range. Just how many of the last XCover6/7 has Samsung sold so far? Not to mention that the availability for both that and the Active tab are close to non-existent in this SEA side.

DarlingYext, 14 Apr 20256GB of RAM and a 4350mAh battery for 610 eur💀Yep. It's like paying more for less when buying a rugged device. There is hardly any real difference between a regular phone and a rugged phone these days

There is little point of a dedicated rugged phone in the year 2025. Regular phones have IP 68 and even 69 K rating now. They also have much bigger batteries and faster charging. That victus glass too is present on lot many models. All one needs is a case

Unless rugged phones bring something substantial in terms of features, they're not really worth buying

DarlingYext, 14 Apr 2025Yet most durable phones still have better specs than this, ... moreName them

I've been whining about this in the previous articles, but to cover this official release as well: This phone probably does the job it is intended to do, but it is virtually the same phone as the previous XCover6 Pro from 2022. Practically no progress in three years. These specs were decent back in 2022, they are entry level today. Two years from now, both phones can be lucky if they can run Android at all. What is the plan for the XCover line? Will there be a decently modern XCover8 Pro next year that actually has the hardware to utilize 7 years of updates? Or is the XCover line now doomed to forever scrape along the budget-barrel of specs?

Side note: I am pleased to see they did not drop DeX, although I really have trouble seeing that feature being very useful in the coming years with the paltry memory.
