"The US Government indicated a risk regarding the use of H20 in supercomputers."
That's because they understand that AI is actually stupid, and has no true respect for human life. Anyone thinking otherwise needs to learn how a computer works.

BambooPandaNoodles, 17 Apr 2025You're unfortunately quite mistaken there. I have Indi... moreI doubt that. Having a few Indian clients own their own manufacturing chain doesn't mean anything. You mentioned in the last 10 years; Vietnam has been doing it a lot longer hence why there's a lot more global electronics manufacturing and at the higher end then just component assembly being done in Vietnam as they have a much stronger base.
This doesn't mean India won't be competitive in the future but it certainly isn't there.

Anonymous, 17 Apr 2025My dude, forget about AI or war. A stupid flu called covid ... moreAnother thing to worry about as well.
It's not technological (House Ix / House Vernius), it's biological (House Tleilaxu).
I recall someone said (or predicted) that we will have a "once in a hundred year virus" that will harm humanity.
Spanish Flu (1920's) -> Beer Virus (2019 / 2020).
Assuming if the streangth of the germ doubles (factos excluded), the next one would be 50 years away from now (2070's).
I really wish and hope that I am so wrong in this.

Smartphones w... moreOf course, DeepSeek AI models are on par with OpenAI but, unlike OpenAI, it is opensource and freely available for people to use. US companies are looking to profit from AI while Chinese companies are looking to democratise it like they are doing with other advances in technology. Lobbying from US AI companies are what is driving the Nvidia export ban and will lead to China using domestically developed AI chips.

Anonymous, 17 Apr 2025India doesn't have the manufacturing prowess to take o... moreYou're unfortunately quite mistaken there. I have Indian big-name clients with worldwide footprints who own the entire product innovation chain, i.e. they own the patents as well as the manufacturing processes along with trademarks. They have already started their own manufacturing for about a decade now and have a fairly large chunk of the Asian market. Its just a matter of time before you see them increasing their footprints just like China did.

It doesn't really matter to China. They just need to reverse-engineer the chip and by trial and error, they will be able to manufacture it in-house. Historically, they have shown that they are able to adapt western technology into their own manufacturing processes even without having direct access to the patents or intellectual property associated with such products. Its just a matter of time that they could have a breakthrough in this as well.
On a separate note, do you remember how Elon laughed at BYD's first EV? Who's laughing now?

1989, 17 Apr 2025No need to go to those countries, india exists.India doesn't have the manufacturing prowess to take on these high tech manufacturing segments. Lots of claims from Indians about supposed capabilities but in the end they're just assembling the final product.

And nobody wonders why the Chinese conglomerates are buying that much AI chips. Nobody also wonders why no other countries are doing the same. Nobody wonders why no other countries other than US and China are involved heavily in this technology, resulting in huge economical impact.
If any of you are worried why US or China are doing what they're doing, you should be wondering why your own government are not doing anything to advance technology like those two countries.
