Some companies already have preview builds of Android 16, other companies are still trying to get Android 15 out the door.

    The problem with Samsung is that it was expected from them to deliver their update fast like they did before, and like everyone else did this time around, but they couldn't do that, on the other hand these older devices OBVIOUSLY WILL NOT GET another update, so nobody is expecting one, if people are okay with that, they can keep using them, if not, then they switch, that's a choice that depends on the user.

        My phone is still running android 10 and works like a charm.
        Only loosers install the latest android 15

          Android became way too restrictive to call it android after Android 10. It was always moving towards iOS style, but till android 10 it was still a desktop like ecosystem to some extend.
          Funny how ipadOS is becoming more like macOS while android is devolving.

          It's not just the OS, Google's approach to independent developers has also changed similarly.
          What can we do? The majority of consumers are ignorant or just don't care enough to understand what's going on..

                  Still using Android 6.0 - Marshmallow daily! Most apps are still supported on this version including WhatsApp and you can side load anything else. Don’t like how bloated and less clean phone OS’ have become now.

                      They should skip it they wasting time. Android 16 is almost here. They will take another year to begin releasing again.

                        I am using a Realme GT neo 2 which stopped on A13 and hasn't received a security patch since last October.
                        Although sometimes google installs new features on my device.

                          P30 Pro power :)

                            Android 10 is still fine, but Android 12 is preferred because its runtime still receives updates through Project Mainline.

                              In 2025, Android 11 would still be fine.

                                  Seems like Android 13 is becoming the minimum nowadays for secure apps (like banking and financial related) as Google just EOL Android 12 from any security patches.

                                        Pixel 9 Pro XL...I've been on 16 since beta 2. (I always skip the first beta). It's on beta4
                                        now. No issues.
