Android 16 reached the Platform Stability milestone with beta 3 that came out in mid-March. One more beta is expected later this month to fix any remaining issues and we should see the stable release soon. For example, Pixels should get it by the end of June.

Google phones are not the only ones that will get Android 16 quickly – Xiaomi released a Developer Preview last week for the Xiaomi 15 and 14T Pro, OnePlus has several betas out for the OnePlus 13 already.

Samsung’s efforts on One UI 8/Android 16 leaked recently, but you’ve probably noticed that One UI 7/Android 15 has proven to be a major headache for the company. The Galaxy S25 series and A-series models like the Galaxy A56 run it out of the box. But the update for the year-old Galaxy S24 ran into issues and had to be paused. Older S-series phones are yet to get a sniff of Android 15.

Did your phone get Android 15 yet? We know some of you are still waiting - and some might not get it because their phone is too old.

Follow-up question - do you care whether you are running the latest version or are you happy with just the latest security patch? Is it important that all new releases arrive on schedule or are you willing to tolerate a slow release every now and then?

Because they don't. Though, they have best Internet Browser hands down. Destroys all the browser's on any Android device. I don't support Samsung, don't have Samsung device but using Samsung Browser by default.
