Samsung Galaxy M56 is 30% thinner, still has a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging

17 April 2025
This year Samsung also upgraded the glass (GG Victus+) and the chipset (Exynos 1480). The M56 will receive software support until the end of 2030.

Massive price increase without any meaningful upgrade from M55s. Hopefully this does not have issues like the M55s.

"The M56 will receive software support until the end of 2030."

That's probably going to be more of a *the M56 will receive One UI 8 in the end of 2030* situation.

they still not using silicon carbon battery? why not bring back 7000 mAh form m51

Why no IP? 54 Is better than nothing. Still sh..t camera setup.

Samsung, you once made the M Series with Massive battery, the M51 (2020) and M62 (2021) they're both comes pack with a whopping 7000mAh battery. While others are then uses 6000mAh.

The M Series were used to be known for massive batteries. People targetting the M Series back then don't care about slim and light. They want the massive battery.

Also, how come the M62 have thin bezels but then the S23 FE have thick bezels?

And me personally, I also don't care about slim and light. If the battery life is decent and so with the performance (includes stability) then I'm happy.

The M series was supposed to be about huge batteries, there is absolutely nothing impressive about a phone with last year's midrange SoC that's slightly thinner than average with a small battery.

Honor Power destroys the entire point of this phone's existance.

Ugly cam is typical of odm phones

we're going back to the Samsung Galaxy Alpha/S6 days of Samsung chasing thinness/"Style" over usability/value.

Unfortunately the phone market/the consumers are so weird/have such low standards that they are ok with this and we won't get an S7 moment again. They'll continue downgrading stuff.

Look at the GPU market for instance to see what im talking about.

Wasn’t M series always about big battery ? What’s the point of this phone now ?

There is no NFC. Also no water resistance. Therefore, I will not buy this phone, as I need these 2 features as a minimum criteria before buying a new phone in 2025.

Meh. The thickness (or lack thereof) is just a darn gimmick. They could have just left it at 8 mm thick and put a 6000 mAh battery inside. That was the M-series' biggest draw. Exynos 1480 plus 6k mAh battery would have been amazing in terms of battery endurance.

Now this thing is just an A55 without an official IP rating, plastic frame, no esim support, and some other downgrades.
