Not only that, they gatekeep the highest available configuration and battery capacity to China, which is possibly the biggest hitch for prospective buyers.

              jiyen235, 18 Apr 2025true that, Realme's messed it all up in the past 2-4 yearsWhat started as a cost-effective competitor to Xiaomi (and a selfie-focused alterative to Samsungs, if you remember the earlier ads) from BBK, ended up becoming the most generic brand with tone-deaf marketing claims. Their designs, despite being generic, were the final nail on the coffin. I'm yet to see a Realme GT device after the global GT6, to have a rather-intriguing design.

Apple, Samsung and Oneplus all have that "Their devices can do no wrong" mindshare in the consumer's mind. Nobody here buying a Oneplus device is considered savvy because Oneplus is pretty mainstream here.

                                  Realme on the other hand has no real identity besides "value for money" competing with Redmi, but it's recent devices have lost even that value tbh. They're not the best which money can buy. That honor goes to Motorola, Poco and Iqoo. So realme is just lost in terms of identity right now.

                                      The only true flagship they ever made was Realme GT 2 Pro, post which all their phones were shit including the latest GT 7 Pro
