Samsung IS completely there in China, and so is the non-chinese Apple, Sammy doesn't sell well, while Apple and the chinese brands, wonder why.

Guess it's easier when you do what the government tells you with censorship and spying.
Apple does it too over there, blocking apps for protesters or that deals with sensitive china topics (including apps like WhatsApp, Threads, Signal...) and taking down VPNs just look at the news in the past years : "Apple needs a human rights upgrade".
BBK subsidiaries ?
Seems like they already completely play by China's rules.
Maybe Samsung isn't compliant enough anymore or they just don't want to contribute to all of that.
That's one of the reasons these Chineses companies sell more than Samsung, but not so much in the rest of the world.

Oh please, any article about literally anything, whether it's about, Infinix, Xiaomi or vivo, or Apple, Samsung, it doesn't matter, new articles always overshadow older ones, not just on GSMArena, but anywhere and everywhere.
"Vivo is just another small player with a niche following."
Small player🤣🤣🤣
If BBK the now non-existant company behind Realme, OnePlus, Oppo and vivo were like Xiaomi with Redmi and Poco, then they would be the biggest smartphone maker on the planet.
Not to mention that Samsung is absolutely tiny in China, where people have EVERY OTHER option on their hands, including Apple. However chinese phones aren't the only ones selling well, Apple still does, and only Samsung doesn't.
"..most casual users (non-techies) who rather prioritize a comfortable form factor.."
Yet again, you still can't understand that "comfortable" means different things for different people. Small and slim phones aren't comfortable for me for example.

Vivo is just another small player with a niche following.
Meanwhile, Apple and Samsung are way bigger, despite their flaws, still provide longer support for their devices. And they both appeal to a broader audience, including most casual users (non-techies) who rather prioritize a comfortable form factor and sleek design over a massive camera bump with slightly better camera specs they might not even fully utilize like on this niche Ultra phone.

I'm not, simply there is a limit to everything.
"You're going to look hilarious in the future, strapping weights and adding thickness to your phone."
I will never do that, as I will never buy into the thinness trend.
"So, you mean, a thin and light 6.9" phone like iPhone 17 Air is "small" by your logic, and also wouldn't work for you ?"
Nope, and I definitely haven't used an unreleased yet to even exist iPhone, what I've used was an iPhone SE (2020), and I liked it, apart from the form-factor and weight of it, it was too small and too leight for me.
"And all I've been saying, for this X200 Ultra, is that slightly better cameras in the biggest camera bump ever we've seen recently isn't innovation, it's just… horrendous."

But the S25 Edge's camera setup looks fantastic, even if it's a tad thicker than this rumored iPhone and still missing a silicon battery. It's their first generation, let's see what the next generation brings.
Like that Spark Slim concept shows it's possible, if those companies, like Tecno, would also commit to longer OS updates support, at least, on their higher-end phones.

ProMaxUltraAreBricks, 23 Apr 2025Read again: I'm talking about thickness, not hand size... moreYou think Apple can fit all the flagship class camera gear and large battery inside a thin and light phone? They can't. You're dreaming. Apple is behind in innovation and smartphone technology, especially battery tech. They'll give you a thin phone with a single camera and small battery but at a substantially inflated price. And we've been there before, it's called the iPhone 6. But if that's good ergonomics for you, by all means, go all out on it.

So, you mean, a thin and light 6.9" phone like iPhone 17 Air is "small" by your logic, and also wouldn't work for you ? (apart from Apple and iOS caveats, purely on form)
You're going to look hilarious in the future, strapping weights and adding thickness to your phone.
