Anonymous, 19 hours agoTHIS. If they don't give Skyline 2 a Snapdragon ... moreYeah, well mrwhos the whatever, is just an influencer with charisma and little to no tech knowlege, he's also payed for his "reviews" that are no more then ads. I am yet to see a proper review from him or mkbdk (or whatever his name is) and most other "tech reviewers" that do not actually review a device. A proper review should include everything from build quality, to real life battery charging speeds and lasting power, to call quality, signal quality, software stability and full functions, every day usage for at least a month, camera quality with diverse settings and situations. Battery lasting power when using the camera. Battery lasting power when only wlan and when only on data. Also with 144hz refresh rate and with 60hz refresh rate, and oh how many are there to be tested. And stay true to the core no matter how good or bad would the device be, that's a reviewer, not this influencers or whatever they are that have hard times finding the settings app. That ones wooden spoon is as useless as most of his videos.

They should definetly improve the software update and speed of bug fixing.
Should have in-display fingerprint reader and software toggle to deactivate it while phone screen is off. With the side reader I really had some annyoing times so i have to use macrodroid to disable fingerprint reader everytime i lock screen otherwise it constanlty tries to scan whatever touches it. Then make it to auto turn on when screen is lit.
It should have at least 5 years of security updates and bug fixes.
Camera software and post processing is in dire need of imporvements, on the current skyline too. HDR is darn aggressive and delivers, (depending on the amont of ligh) bad artifacts looking somehow pixelate when zooming in the photo to 100% and behind. This too is not constantly happening, sonetimes the photos in the same situation do not have that issue....

Anonymous, 16 hours agohope it comes with sd slot & 3.5mm jackI can tell now that it will definetly not. With repairability in mind they will definetly want to avoid it, but well, who knows.

For "as good value for money" you can find the floaded market by xiaomis oppos and honor and their 1000 other sub-businesses, hmd really does not need to go down that road. So yeah, it is good value for money.

The Android Freak, 12 hours ago7 Gen 4 is not released yet. Even 8s Gen 4 is not released ... moreHMD phone also is not released yet and who knows when will it be released.
So whats your point ?
Also you can't compare Nothing brand with HMD
When HMD used Nokia branding they were already a total joke and late with releases on new phones that come with old version of android and low end hardware. It's like their best was 'SD695

What does Nothing have to do with HMD?
Talking as if Nothing uses the best available SoC, they never use competitive hardware with exception on CMF 1 which itself cuts cost on as many things as possible to sport a Dimensity 7300.

Even Nothing didn't use 7 Gen 3 in their Nothing Phone 3A Pro, from where HMD will use it?

It needs better CPU and headphone jack. And the price needs to be 300 euro at most maximum. Then these would sell to more masses as otherwise it's yet another one of these meh phones with high price. Get like stock Android but only like 2 OS updates is a joke. The point for stock android is to get long term updates and you dont need to do much at all for the phone cause you dont have your own unique touch on the skin over android.
7s gen 3 would be enough but if it is coming with gen 2 then it's already a joke.
They can't even use something like 7+ gen 2/3 that would make the phone last longer for the future proof case.
7s gen 2 is like the bottom end of middle class or top end of budget class performance.
It's not like we are in year 2020 when this 7s gen 2 was by performance like entry flagship.
But even with 3.5mm jack this phone would not have much of a chance cause the specs are too weak for their typical high price
Well i would not buy any of them anyways even when i would need new phone. The Lumia 830 i had that looks like this except the camera in the rear was nice design like 9 years ago when i got the phone but now i dont want anything like that when there are phones with screen edge to edge with no bezel. The problem is that they need to make the screen 6.5 inch or bigger and then have massive bezel and also frame that makes the phone too big. It's like a tablet that you need a bag to carry around. In summer when it's hot you want to be with t-shirt and shorts but cant cause you need a bag to have your phone with you cause the phone just is so massive in size

IpsDisplay, 17 hours ago"4,600 mAh battery "
This is just disrespectful If they could manage to squeeze an average of 3 days on a Nokia 8 with its measly 3000mAh battery, it's possible for them to provide a better battery life with a 4600mAh battery with a comparatively efficient chipset. But a bigger battery is nicer to have, that's for sure.
Apart from that, they're desperate to maintain engagement, and judging by how boring phone releases are for the past 8 years, I don't blame them.
