Vivo and Oppo literally have far better customer and warranty services here than Apple and even Samsung, LOL.

PureOS, 24 Apr 2025Realme GT7 - Amoled 1b colors 144hz, Dimensity 9400+ 1... moreYou can't really compare these when there is a massive phone size difference. 16e is 6.1 inch screen so it's 146mm tall while that Realme GT7 (China) 310euro have 6.8 inch screen and phone is 162mm tall

The 16e point is more on the compact size side to get but the price is crazy for this phone and what you get with it while what you can get with Android in up to same price as 16e 8/256 for 800 euro

I need new phone, 24 Apr 2025oh boy......imagine being poor but still want an iphone....... moreIn article for me shows the prices for amazon.de and co.uk as 670 Euro for 8/129 and 800 euro for 8/256GB

            S25 12/128 starts around 625 euro and 12/256 version 700 euro
Xiaomi 15 price is 12/256 is 780 euro and 12/512 is 812 euro

Both are better options with better everything and not large cut out screen notch so yeah i dont really get who buy this when the prices are not much different in size and muiles better in everything like performance and cameras while one have faster charging option too.

So no need to even look year old Samsung S24 or Xiaomi 14 as these be even cheaper and can already look their pro or ultra version

Buying an iPhone 16e with a screen that's hard to read outdoors and a camera that's bad in low light is almost a steal.

I upgraded my whole family from the 15 to the 16e and... moreIt's up to you to have recommended a model with a screen that is half as readable outdoors, one less ultra-wide camera sensor, and a lower-quality main camera sensor. Only the CPU is faster since the GPU has been castrated on the 16e. Finally, an iPhone with a single camera sensor immediately shows that your iPhone is entry-level. Changing smartphones only 1 year later with less good specifications is beyond me

"Canalys: Europe smartphone market grows after four years in decline" (February 2025) :

                                https://m.gsmarena.com/canalys_europe_smartphone_market_grows_after_four_years_in_decline-news-66644.php

"The smartphone market in Europe grew by 5% in 2024, following four consecutive years of decline."

From Canalys source directly: "Samsung reaffirmed its position as Europe’s largest smartphone vendor, growing its 2024 shipments by 6% to 46.4 million units. Apple was the largest vendor in Q4 2024 backed by a positive reception of the iPhone 16 series combined with continued demand for iPhone 13 and 14."

And companies don't ship millions of devices if they don't anticipate them being bought. Shipment numbers are a strong indicator of expected demand. This means there's healthy demand in the market.
Smartphone market is not in decline anymore.

But still, maybe it will be in decline in 2025 because of current U.S. events, we'll see.

When u look at numbers of milions sales, they are losing about 10 milion as I said before. They are not first, they are second when whole year is counted, not just first and last quarter of the year. Market share is not important, number of sales are.

PureOS, 24 Apr 2025Hahahaha, nice joke men. I live in Europe and exactly know ... moreLiving in Europe too, I see Chinese brands (mainly Xiaomi) present in the entry/mid-range (not 55%, check Canalys/Counterpoint stats), but people often mock their higher-end pricier phones. There's a perception that you wouldn't spend €600+ on a Xiaomi or Realme (and other unknown BBK brands besides maybe OnePlus).
And I can't even imagine people in the U.S. getting mocked just for having just an Android.

Plus, Chinese brands presence is limited in EU : less / to no physical store, fewer deals, often no Ultra flagships (China specific models) and only 3-4 years of updates.
Suggest that they don't really care that much.

PureOS, 24 Apr 2025Hah, ecosystem? Apple is far away from android now. It'... moreWhile I don't know if their ecosystem is not as strong as it once was, the reality is that Apple users are still very much tied into it.

And regarding the claim about losing 10 million customers annually, that doesn't seem to align with recent data. In fact, according to Counterpoint Research, Apple actually took the #1 spot in smartphone shipments in 2025 Q1.
So, they're clearly still a major player in the market.

I live in Europe and exactly know what people want, and that is not apple anymore. Samsung still holds strong, but Chinese manufacturers combined hold about 55% of smartphone market. That shows that they care 😉
