ProMaxUltraAreBricks, 24 Apr 2025What about ecosystem? Realme devices don't mix well ... moreHah, ecosystem? Apple is far away from android now. It's not 2015 anymore. Also almost every android vendor switch to 6 years of software support for their flagships. Apple is losing 10 milion customers every year. That shows how good they are.

ProMaxUltraAreBricks, 24 Apr 2025What about ecosystem? Realme devices don't mix well ... moreA lot of what you call ewaste still function way after abandonment. Android backwards compatibility stretches back way further than IOS.

jerem06, 24 Apr 2025Android smartphones integrate well with Windows and data tr... moreYes, but Mac do not run Windows and all the people who are used to MacOs and have existing Apple devices will not change their entire ecosystem and habits.
Apple users are locked into their ecosystem.
And Apple should totally adopt a more open approach, similar to the Windows/Android integration you mentioned, by making macOS compatible with Android devices.

I need new phone, 24 Apr 2025oh boy......imagine being poor but still want an iphone....... moreI've been on the r/iphone16e subreddit and thus far many of the users who bought the 16e were trading in or it was part of a contract, therefore paying lower prices than that $599. Most were even downgrading from a higher-end phone!
So yeah, not too stupid for if you specifically needed an iOS device. 16e is an okay phone, just the wrong starting price. But I ain't buying that because I still prefer android

Samsung released most of them along with Google, even though I find some useless.

1... moreWhat about ecosystem?
Realme devices don't mix well with other Apple devices, like people with older iPhones only want newer/cheaper iOS devices.
They don't care about specifications, just whether the device is recent and will be supported for more than 7 years unlike the 3-4 years that most other e-waste phone manufacturers provide.

For most people these are noname brands.
99% dont read technical specification about phone, they dont care.
They want brand with good customer and warranty service, maybe offline stores, which many of chinese brands dont have.
So what is point to write that kind of posts that some chinese phone is cheaper with better hardware?
Your post will be read by somelike you :D

Proof that buyers have no technical skills: €719 for an 800 nits, 60hz screen, a single 1/2.55" main camera sensor that is bad for evening photos and only 128 GB of storage. When I think that a €300 POCO X7 Pro is almost as fast in 3D with an ultra-wide angle sensor and double the storage, it gives food for thought. All the latest GT smartphones are better: Honor, Realme

More like people got duped into "Apple Intelligence," believing they're buying the phone that is "designed" for it (based on Apple's own ads).
The surge was also seen on Samsung S24 line when Samsung advertised Galaxy AI. I guess the public really are into "AI."
