These companies should work harder to ensure all shortcomings are addressed. They can make UFS cards for high speed storage. They can make TWS with user replaceable ultra long batteries. They can improve the wireless connection to be as reliable and high quality like connecting with wires.

You can tell it's not ultra lowlight by the shutter speed 1/100s and the ISO not being very high at all. It's nowhere near the quality of the Redmi k60pro which I had with me at 23mm indoors.

Nick Tegrataker, 28 Apr 2025Does it perform well in 28mm field of view? After all, that... moreI didn't try it at 28mm to be honest. Will try the next time I'm in a vivo store or a Sundan store. I saw from gizmochina's video that it did perform much better at 28mm but I didn't try it personally so I can't verify that

IMX363, 27 Apr 2025I read it and I am sticking by my claim. The first photo lo... moreIt's interesting that you say that because to me, these photos you provided me don't really look "fake" at all. While they don't look as good as something that I would be able to get out of my dedicated camera, they still look pretty organic in terms of lighting and the only fault that I could possibly point out (at least from these low resolution poster images that you linked to) is a slight oversharpening of facial features in the first image.
I'm not a huge fan of Galaxy's portrait mode because it quickly becomes unusable in less than ideal lighting. iPhone's portrait mode, just like its regular auto mode, really messes up the skin tone when the subject's face is lit by strong light sources. Pixel's portrait mode is straight up awful - Tons of noise reduction especially on darker skin tone or in backlit/low light/indoor scenes to hide the noise as much as possible, yet still doesn't do a good job at it and ends up giving the face an extremely "waxy" look.
If you think Chinese phones' (in most cases, optional) skin smoothing is bad, well, I don't know how you could possibly consider Pixel's mandatory plastic surgery to be remotely better.

jiyen235, 27 Apr 2025not really, they aren't worth it for most people. The ... morelol what? have you ever tried one for a few days or so? its a game changer.. i can't view photos on a normal phone any more, its ridiculous! All photos are 4:3.. not to mention Honors awesome use of space, photo comparisons etc.. The amount of text in messages, emails and websites displayed in one screen is amazing, no more constant scrolling. Surface area in games etc.. The only thing where there isn't a giant difference are wide videos, but its still bigger than any other phone out there, since phones are not 16:9 either, they are too tall and narrow, which are a good fit only for super wide formats like 21:9.,,and STILL smaller than foldable. ...battery isn't an issue at all. If you can't drain it in a day (and you can't drain V3 no matter what you do) i don't really care about mAh and test scores. ..oh and regarding durability, my V3 has a tough life, was dropped everywhere, metal is full of dents and scars, but the screens are perfect and the hinge works like the first day. sooo... i just think people didn't try it or think about anything else than Samsung Fold which is stuck in the past.

Is there still a difference in display quality between 120Hz and 60Hz in the newest flagships? Note 20 Ultra, Mi 11 Ultra and X90Pro+ all clearly better at 60Hz... 120Hz makes colors more bland, text is less sharp and is just more flat or pale, i always use 60Hz, much prettier quality compared to 120Hz.

They can't compete at all with midrangers even at 23mm.Ben doesn't even crop in very far on the photo and takes an outdoor pic as well. You can also refer to gizmochina who look at 23mm in a less ideal lighting and crop in heavily if you like. Anyway, I know it's just bad, indoors at least at 23mm from trying quite a few times

ProMaxUltraAreBricks, 28 Apr 2025Oof, great arguments. So, you want a niche, unergonomic, bu... more"Also, in addition to complaints about the size and thickness, I've seen people complain that this new "Ultra" has smaller main and ultrawide sensors than its predecessor. "
The main has a smaller sensor than the X100 Ultra yes, it's still not a small one, and I don't think that should matter anyways, as long as the results are great. As for the ultrawide, which is now the same size as the main camera, you are completely wrong, it's the biggest ultrawide camera on any phone, and it even has OIS, which is extremely rare on an ultrawide even though it's useful.
"So, you want a niche, unergonomic, bulky camera only phone, but most average consumers don't want that, like me."
Yeah, he does, and so do I and a lot of other people. I get it you don't like the size and weight of this device, okay sure but that doesn't mean others will hate it too. Some want a small and/or lightweight device and some want the opposite, neither of them are wrong, just people with different needs.
"Along with it not being globally released (and no microSD slot or headphone jack) "
No global release has nothing to do with the camera quality of this phone, some may dare to import and some won't, but the camera quality will stay the same either way. As for no headphone jack, I'm sorry I don't think that has anything to do with cameras either. Micro SD card however, yes it would be very useful if it had it, but it's not like any other brand has it apart from Sony, and the camera quality will still stay the same without it.

Anonymous, 28 Apr 2025This phone is a replacement for a DSLR with focal lengths c... moreYeah, I recognise that it might be suitable for others who are really into photography. The 35mm photos are great. It doesn't have minimal loss of quality though when you crop from the ultrawide. There is a huge loss of quality at 23/24mm at least in indoor photos (maybe it would do better outside in bright light). It's a bit better though at an exact 2x crop from the ultrawide i.e. at 28mm
