both are USB 2.0 phones with no ultrasonic scanners and the X200 Pro Mini suffers from a few problems due to not having the V3+ Chip. Vivo gimped the X200 Pro Mini a lot more than they should've considering the high price.

Also, i didn't mean that manufacturers shouldn't use metal(it makes them way more elegant), but rather i meant that why are they making phones all flat-sided and less ergonomic? Can't they just give them an slight carve, so it would be better for hands?

I'd take Xiaomi 14U over this X200U. But I prefer the flat screen of X200U.
And more importantly, I don't have the money to either of them 🤣😭
I don't mind the 4th fake lens on the camera island. It makes it look like a normal phone (which is something someone would want if they don't want to let the entire world know that they have a very expensive phone)

Amirsadra, 27 Apr 2025**This comment isn't directly related to the title... moreIf you don't want it, don't try to convince others that they don't want it! I WANT it, because I could live with a 10-20 year-old Nokia just like my friend, or just keep my Scamsung S24 Ultra. BUT NO, if I want it, I will get it!
And why would you need non ultra model (S25) if you can get cheaper A03. Why tf do you need hybrid 30x zoom just whyy, and ultrawide whyyy, and large sensor, whyy at night is time to sleep anyways, and oled, whyy if TFT is perfect, high refreshe rate, whyy if your brain is too slow to process anything...

I just looked at the camera bump, and yes, in fact, there is a fourth ring that seems purely decorative. I'm guessing the periscope housing is underneath it.
Honestly, it looks incredibly cheap for a supposed flagship. They really shouldn't have added that unless this was meant to be one of those cheapo "4 lens 200MP budget phones".
I've looked up other Vivo X200 phones, and it's on all of them, even the X200 mini...

Spec sheet for the X100s and X200s is insane; especially for the price. If I had to choose, I'd wait to get the X200s, although next year since the price will drop down a bit (I'm on a tight budget).
Genuinely insane value for money.
It's big brother, the Ultra tho, damn man that camera hump is not it, could've atleast smoothed it out like a Motorola phone to make it more ergonomic and pallettable to hold.

**This comment isn't directly related to the title's question
"Ultra phones" are somethings that you WANT but DON'T NEED, and it's true about all of them (Galaxy s25 ultra , Vivo x200 ultra , Oppo find x8 ultra , Xiaomi 15 ultra etc.)
Let's be real, how many of those buyers really need a 100× hyprid zoom?, how many of them live in middle of desert so their screen brightness has to out shine the sun?, how many of them need an overkill camera setup in their phones? , how many of them need a heavy piece of aluminum/titanium that doesn't even have proper ergonomic ?
Yes , the answer for all of those questions is "a few people" so why get something that doesn't suit your needs well?
Even if somebody really needs a premium, long-lasting and powerfull phone, they can just buy some thing like s25 plus or xiaomi 15 vanilla which are even more than enough, why spend more?
Note: as a non-native speaker, i would be very appreciated if you could correct my horrible spelling and grammer
Thanks :)

Nick Tegrataker, 27 Apr 2025This isn't making any sense.Any of the two models have three cameras and four "lenses". One of the lenses is fake, it's just for design, for suckers.
It's just you that you can't make sense. It's on you.
If you like to buy "smarphones" with just circles printed on the back, be my guest!
There are phones that actually have "things" in some of the rings, various sensors and such, but not these.

I’ve been a X100 pro owner for over a year now and I just ordered a Xiaomi 15 Ultra a few days ago. That LYT818 sensor and too much AI reliance put me off from getting the x200 Pro or the Ultra version. I do prefer the Zeiss colour over the Leica colour science though. Well I hope next year Vivo re-employs the LYT 900 on their flagships again.

I can enjoy my sleek S25 and still expect phone cameras to evolve beyond dated looking dinner-plate-sized bumps. It's not nice to insult people simply because you don't want companies to innovate further.
