Anonymous, 16 hours agoWhat a maga joke, so they just move manufacturing/productio... moreYou need to decrease labour cost buddy to build anything in us.
I heard us people gets around $7/hour as minimum wage as per the labour department website.
Indian people don't even get $7/day as minimum wage as per the labour department website.
Apart from this labour cost, land prices are also low in india so building factory will also cost less.
Vast pool of intelligent and unemployed indians are ready to be used in the glibal workforce.
So, i would suggest you to join the india journey now.

Stanley Kubrick, 21 hours agoI do not use an iPhone. However, I will say from experience... moreSame with Xiaomi/poco phones with their 10 series & below models that were manufactured in india, 80-90% of phones had dead motherboard, screen, etc. defects.

General Net, 18 hours agoso STILL not in usa ... trump must be disappointed ...Because it's not as simple as just relocating factories and hiring workers to fill them. The west has outsourced slave jobs so they can just rake in the money and avoid actually working.
And putting western factories in China also has an ulterior motive if you dig in deeper.

Yeah, that really helps with USA industrialisation, as Donald the duck tries to imply with his "tariffs". Idiocracy is closer and closer with every day passing.

OfficialTRider, 25 Apr 2025Already 1 in every 4 iphone sold in the USA is made in India. This is not true. Most iPhones sold in the US are made in China. Although around 25% of all iPhones are made in India, they're not distributed evenly to each country.

Asher45, 21 hours agoThis move was already planned, and has been already been ha... moreYes, it has long been the plan to shift more to India. However, tariffs could both expedite this as well as end it (the US could easily just tariff India as well). It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Stanley Kubrick, 21 hours agoI do not use an iPhone. However, I will say from experience... moreChina has much more experience manufacturing phones (and precision manufacturing in general). India is just, unfortunately, second rate in this regard.

I do not use an iPhone. However, I will say from experience with the OnePlus Community forum that nearly every issue/bug/defect on any OnePlus phone is on those made/manufactured in India! I do not know why but I have followed the OnePlus forums for several years now and that is my take. I follow the forum because I have owned several different OnePlus phones and currently use the 13 and it is flawless and NOT made in India. Virtually nobody with a OnePlus phone manufactured elsewhere in Asia has any trouble at all. WHY??? Your guess is as good as mine and not very friendly at that! YMMV

Why not Vietnam? Samsung does that and its very impressive. Never seen any bad product that is made in Vietnam. Be it a phone or simple things like sneakers or shirts.

This move was already planned, and has been already been happening for years, but they are blaming the tariffs. Apple has been trying to get out of China for several years, regardless of who the president is in the US. Apple is going to raise prices, even if tariffs ended tomorrow.

rip phone quality.
If anyone wants to know why im saying this just ask any owner of a japanese bike made in india/xiaomi phone user compared to any other region. Idk what it is but it all just seems to be worse there.
