[deleted post]Already more than 25% iPhones are made in India for global customers. Already Samsung, One Plus and others are assembling mobiles in India without big issues. Parts manufacturing will eventually happen in India for that already many part makers have already partnered with local manufacturers. Eventually, India will get there.

Already, Samsung, OnePlus etc…assembling their mobiles in India for many years including foldable ones. Apple is joining the party later. Only issue in India is that they do not make parts in India which is also getting addressed but slowly due to various reasons.

Not only assembling, India should start building nano chip factories like Foxconn or TSMC to compete with China or Taiwan. I am sure India has the technological expertise and resources compared to other countries in Asia.

Nevertheless, money is money and capitalism is addicted to it. Everything can be explained with money. Literally everything. Without exception.

Wow, corporate greed will never change. They are just shifting their exploits to another country, without actually doing the things that Trump has been yammering about this whole time Good job.

They cant move away from China. They can assemble iPhones in India, but probably more than 80% parts used are from China, but its look like transporting it all to India is cheaper than dealing with US Politics and their amazing ideas of tariffs.
I bet that all they will do is do all the work in Foxconn as they always do, but then send modules to India, like already assembled boards screens and chassis and they just put it together there.

Under Trump's leadership, India became an important market for American companies, but despite this growing economic relationship, the price of products like the iPhone remains high. This discrepancy highlights the complex nature of global trade, where nations can be leveraged as manufacturing hubs or consumer markets, yet the benefits don't always translate to lower prices for consumers in those same regions.
