Galaxy Z Fold7 rumored to be even thinner than expected, Z Flip7 to have a larger battery

The Z Fold7 will be thinner than even the Z Fold Special Edition, but how much thinner is a matter of some debate.

    I hate these foldable phones, I tried them twice and both times they develop lumps under the screen in the crease :/ Not worth it.

      But it's not true, I'm not in China and Huawei is one of the most popular brands because of its low prices and marketing strategy where they employ local sports people so dummies buy these phones a lot.

        Actually, nfc is useless to me right now, tho not in the future, it is what it is. As for what else I use phone for: camera, chatting and browsing, editing - for that I guess the latest(at least 1y old or new) would be better, so maybe I should correct myself XD

Huawei devices are far from that. No gms, no android auto, no voice assistant, no nfc payment, no HD content stream, problematic notification management, etc. Oneplus is good but, they didn't release a flagship this year. Xiaomi is the only one out there.

Z Fold sales dropped because people that purchased the Z3 in 2021 and Z4 in 2022 have not upgraded due to the lack of significant changes. They will upgrade now and the bigger panel(for better or worse) will also attract new customers.

                    As to your comment, new devices from the manufacturer set the market share within a given year. 2nd hand transactions do not count. For example, if aliexpress has 20 Honor V3's, it doesn't matter when or if they sell them. It is counted as a sale for Honor at the time the transaction occurred between Honor and aliexpress. That's why the fold market share has been defined by shipments from the manufacturer as opposed to actual sales to consumers. You will never see Samsung drop the MSRP on foldables. That goes as far back as the Z2. You will see Honor, Huawei and Oppo drop the MSRP.

                      [deleted post]I'm just stating facts. If it's thicker and doesn't have a SIC battery it's objectively less advanced at launch. Or what I would like to call obsolete. Samsung doesn't make good phones anymore.

                        Samsung has many business divisions that either work harmoniously or not amongst the rest of the Samsung conglomerate. Making components more advanced and seeing for a higher profit than absorbing at a cost is just good business!

                        Moreover, using new tech later means no cost for its R&D.

                        You'd fail at a business as it's mnag3r or financial head!

                        Scamming has nothing to do with this nor how Samsung prefers to run its sub divisions and their 19yr run, quarter after quarter shows you don't know diddly.

                          Since Samsung is making the screen for Apple's foldable device, they also know nearly all of the dimensions and specs as well. Samsung will be sure that their foldable is superior to Apple's or that would be a really stupid move on their part.

                            It's easy to guess what will people choose when buying 2nd hand device.
                            Well, those buying new devices will be ogling new Chinese folds, but with bans going on, Samsung got a solo play.

                              Like having 10x optical, I would mind such - now lost - technology.

                                I don't know what device will I buy yet, but it's definitely the one with better tele camera than 3x 10mp...

                                  If this come to be true the Moto Razr 60 Ultra is a clear winner
