          I had a Chinese phone that used this tech 15 years ago with a larger display. A functional TV, no cellular connection needed. Worked anytime anywhere.
          Lava and HMD are going backwards.

It's just matt... moreYou still can't watch TV on this phone, because there are no radiwaves in many EU countries that broadcast TV. Maybe in the last 2 decades TV can be watched only via the Internet in my country. That's why I disposed of my analogue TV very long time ago, it simply wasn't worth buying a converter. Now I use my phone instead to watch TV.

                      I don't understand why they need to make a cheap feature phone for this. Why not a decent smartphone? Why not a smaller smartphone? Why not something with a physical keypad and a touchscreen? Why a cheap phone which is good for nothing and has only this one selling point that we don't even know would work as expected?! What's the point of watching content on such a small display on a phone which would suck at everything else?!

                      Funny thing is this summit will be held at the Jio Centre. The same Jio that has made 5G mainstream. Even most rural areas have decent 4g these days.

                            It's just matter of firmware. Add DVB-T2 Decoding capabilities.

                            Modern phone has good antenna already.

                              My brother had some chinese Blaupunkt phone with TV antena like 20 years ago and yeah, it sucked ass to watch TV on such small display even then.

                                    I like it. This digital TV reciver on cell phone is great feature. Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, Motorola and others should implement it.

                                      This should be useful mostly for rural India and areas with poor connectivity.

                                        If over 8000R, better buy an iPhone 4
