HMD and Lava to launch phones with broadcast TV support

I like it. This digital TV reciver on cell phone is great feature. Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, Motorola and others should implement it.

    This should be useful mostly for rural India and areas with poor connectivity.

      If over 8000R, better buy an iPhone 4

        If over 9000 rupees, better buy an iPhone 4 instead

          Streaming TV on 2'8 screen..... Ok

                What, 17 hours agoI love it. In case of world War 3. I think an AM radio would be more useful for that.

                  Chinese phones used to have this feature back in 2010-2011. There was an antenna too just in case the picture quality was not clear. Ah.. good old days.

                    In the past 2.8 inch display was huge and really support analog tv. Especially phone from china

                        It is useful where there are no cell coverage

                          Nokia had at least one feature phone with this capability that I know of. My friend had that phone circa 2008.

                            Why would I watch live TV on a 2.8 inch tiny screen?
                            Just to screw my vision? Implement this technology in smartphones so that when I have no internet connection I can at least kill my time..

                              Didn't we have this capability years ago?

                                I love it. In case of world War 3.

                                  Broadcast TV on feature phones is interesting from a technical standpoint.
                                  Not sure if people would care enough for it to be a Unique Selling Point tho.
