It amazes me when people argue for higher battery capacities without increasing weight. That's a nice goal but considering the increased cost, I'd say we should focus on software and hardware optimization first (here samsung is doing a good job) and second provide a higher density WITHOUT increasing capacity = lighter batteries without less runtime. That way they're not worse than a previous gens all while looking and feeling way more slick. 😎

      I usually go for the vanilla S series but this really has my attention now. I like the screen size to weight ratio. I don't really care if photo quality is a gen or two old.

      My absolute ideal phone would be an extra light vanilla S. 149gr with samsung quality hardware and software? Sign me up!

        this phone is so bad that nobody would leak it - I guarantee Samsung "leaked it" themselves because this phone had zero anticipation behind it.

                              Again, they totally should've gone with a silicon battery.
                              And one less core might even be a good thing if it means less throttling and better sustained performance. We'll have to wait and see if it makes a real difference in daily usage, or not.

And frankly, the 25U's cooling sucks. Yes, the processor has one less core, but that won't knock 10 degrees down. My crystal ball predicts that it will run about as hot as its full-fledged Snapdragon sibling. Also, the smaller surface area of ​​this phone can't possibly dissipate as much heat as the 25U. The smaller size will lead to faster heating, which will lead to another problem. Faster battery degradation due to constant higher heating. Well, unless Samsung has limited the processor to run at a maximum of 10 percent of its potential and users use it only to check their email once every 2 hours.
                                  We'll wait and see when it comes out, but for now it has all the potential to become the flop of the decade, no matter how much you want it to be the opposite.
