apple won't be for richy ppl only !!That's $99 for the 16GB version ON CONTRACT.
This demonstrates Apple doesn't understand the Asian market as 60%-90% of the cell phone users (depending upon the country) use PRE-PAID, non-contract phones.
The only way this iphone 5 with a new cover will sell in markets like China is for the price to fall dramatically off contract.
There are too many other phones with bigger, better screens and more features available off contract for less money.
At least with plastic backs Apple won't be shipping phones where the paint has chipped off the metal case.

You guys just got the idea of iphone 5c wrong. It's wasn't mean to be affordable for the consumers, it's is meant to be cheaper for apple to make. Iphone sheep will always buy iphone at any cost. So apple will sell a cheaper-made iphone for premium prize. Ifans need some colors in their boring lives so apple gave them colors and more colours for a huge price. Enjoy ur red-bulky-costly new iplastic. Hahahaha

Apple on the other hand control is the only iOS device available and their got to control their own price without any competition from others. That's why the price remains high or slightly drop. The keyword it CONTROL.

Why is iPhone double the price in Australia.
Why even bother to buy it if they price themselves out of the woods.
